This is one very nice restaurant. We have enjoyed ourselves here in the past and looked forward with real anticipation to returning on this trip. We like sitting in the large, rotating chairs (cafe style) where you face the chefs, watch them cook and interact with them. We waited until two of these seats were available. We recommended that our niece go to The Brooklyn and eat in the cafe style seats when she was visiting Seattle recently and she had a great experience. But she's a big steak eater and we're not anymore. This time the experience for us was not everything we expected. First, we were seated around the far bend in the "cafe" bar, where deserts are prepared, and as interesting as that might seem, it just isn't as much fun as watching the meat flame up on the fire. Second, our server was AWOL most of the meal, which I found strange. Third, the Lobster Ravioli and the Bouillabaise were, well, mediocre. And the portions were small, even for "small plates." Go for the steak. Go for the oysters. I remember the calimari as great from previous visits. Stick with them. If you are in Seattle because you love sea food, go someplace else.
