“what a view”
Reviewed September 2, 2013

I think this was fun. My nine year old loved it and the views of the bay were really good. We received two photos that gave us the giggles. The gondolas were climate controlled and spacious. Three people, at $40.00 for three rounds. Anything to put a smile on our kids faces right.

“Wanted to love it more...”
Reviewed September 2, 2013

After the Space Needle, this attraction (which costs almost as much) was good, not great.

Luckily, we didn't have to wait in line to get on, as we would have if we'd come back the next day (we ended up having a drink right next door to the Great Wheel so that's how I know).

To me, the Great Wheel is one of those things you're glad you did... once. It's too short and costs too much money to have me wanting to go back. The ride is over in less than ten minutes, and part of that you are not high up, but waiting for others to get on (or off).

There is a great view of downtown from the top, and the individual cars you sit in are comfortable, and we lucked out by not having to share ours with other folks when we went.

I really wanted to love this relatively new attraction, but it doesn't compare to the Space Needle, which you can visit for as long as you like.

“First time in Seattle, its a must especially with kids. Sunset is best.”
Reviewed September 2, 2013

If you are visiting for the first time, than its a must, try to do it during sunset for a spectacular view over the mountains. For the price of $14 you get 3 full turns, more than enough to enjoy the view.

“Mixed feelings”
Reviewed August 31, 2013

The Great Wheel has an amazing waterfront location beside the Seattle Aquarium and steps away from Pike's Place. The cost was $45 US for 3 adults. We then queued for the wheel and were taken to a space for a group picture. The group picture was offered for sale at the end of the ride with the group photo-shopped in front of a climate controlled enclosure that seats six to eight people.

We enjoy ferris wheels for the views and for the thrill you feel when the wheel is rotating. The Seattle Great Wheel offers great views in a climate controlled environment but there is no thrill what so ever.

“Not your average Ferris wheel!”
Reviewed August 29, 2013 via mobile

The gondolas are nice and cool. I thought it would have been stuffy but it was cool and comfortable. The views were spectacular! Absolutely breath taking. A must see for anyone visit bing Seattle!
