I had an amazing time. It was a cold rainy day but even so Chihuly colors and shapes made me forget the outside world. All I could think I wish I was lucky enough (and rich enough) to live in a garden like that. Truly recommended!

This is one thing your Must see...some of the most beautiful and creative blown glass I have ever seen. The way he meshes his art with Nature makes it seem natural and strange at the same time
Really a must do!!!!

The Museum at the base of the Space Needle showcases Chihuly's artistry. The Persian ceiling was stunning and the gardens bring the glass alive.

This display of Chihuly glass art is stunning to say the least. The indoor displays are breathtakingly beautiful and colorful. As you move around them you continually see something new. The outdoor displays don't have quite as much impact, but are still gorgeous. The garden setting has a few visual distractions due to the location. Surrounding buildings are visible, but you are nearly at the base of the Space Needle, so that is one distraction that may add to the experience. The cost of admittance is fairly high and depending on how long you look at each display, you can probably feel satisfied after about an hour or two. The paid parking in the area is, like most big cities, fairly outrageous and it is hard during tourist season to find on-street parking. There is also roadway construction in the area and detours so it was a little difficult to get to from the freeway (could not follow GPS directions). If you are already parked, you might as well enjoy the other adjacent attractions, such as the Music Experience and the Space Needle. Be aware that they occasionally close part of the exhibit to the public for private special events, as they did Thursday afternoon July 11th.

My biggest regret is that we didn’t get to spend enough time at this exhibit. It was unfortunately sandwiched between the Space Needle and a dinner reservation. I actually had a hard time convincing my husband to even go. I guess gardens and glass did not sound very exciting to him. He completely changed his mind as soon as we stepped into the Northwest Room. I am not creative or artistically inclined, so my descriptions will be lacking. WOW. The colors and the sheer size of the exhibits was amazing. My favorites were the Persian ceiling and the boats. I have never seen anything quite like this exhibit and I've traveled quite a bit. You leave feeling happy. Make the time to go!
