“Great view at reasonable cost”
Reviewed September 5, 2011

Old manual elevator takes you to the top; great 360 degree views without glass to obstruct views including bay, downtown, Mt Rainier, Cascade Mountain Range, the Needle and more; reasonable cost of ~$8; recommend going at sunset

“Worth a Look”
Reviewed August 28, 2011

The good thing about the view from the Smith Tower is that its much less crowded than the Space Needle and much cheaper as well. The gorgeous marble lobby leads you to the brass and copper decorated elevator, complete with attendant to get you to the 35th floor where you come out into the stunning Chinese Room. The observation deck wraps around the building so you get 360 degree views and at only $7.50, its good value. If you do the Underground Tour first, you get in for just $6.

“Smith Tower worth the visit.”
Reviewed August 25, 2011

Smith Tower was the tallest building west of the Missssippi for nearly 50 years. The observation deck of this 1910 building offers views of downtown Seattle, the stadium complex, Elliott Bay and Mt. Rainier and the Cascades. The Space Needle from this perspective is framed within the Seattle skyline. The tower is cheaper and less crowded than the Space Needle. It is worh the visit if you are in the Pioneer Square.

“Worth seeing”
Reviewed August 14, 2011

Great views and a beautiful building, but I t would have been nice to hear more of the history and to have seen one of the regular floors.

Here's a tip: If you are going to do the Smith Tower and the Underground Tour, do the Smith Tower first as you get a bigger discount for the Underground Tour from Smith, than you do for the Tower from the Underground Tour.

“The View of the city is fabulous!”
Reviewed August 6, 2011

We were there on a beautiful day and had the place to ourselves near closing. Not only is the view wonderful but the beautiful lobby and the elevator service are extra special touches worth the trip...you get a dollar off the admission price if you did the Underground Door down the street.
