Great hotel in great location - walking distance to everything. Comfortable, spacious adjoining rooms, had great view of entire waterfront including Mt Ranier. No problem arranging van taxi for party of 5 w luggage to train station for early train to Vancouver.

Room Tip: Corner room with balcony had great view. Cruise ships pull up right out front in morning. We were ab...

This is what I consider a top-of-the-line Marriott hotel. Check in was efficient & staff open to your every need. We spent 2 days in a lower floor Elliott Bay view room prior to an Alaskan Cruise with HAL. We were not charged for internet. We ate at their restaurant for many of our meals--breakfast had the best Oatmeal I have had in a very long time. They had a sign up sheet for shuttle service for people traveling to Pier 91 to catch the Holland America cruise to Alaska ($8 I think per person). I can think of nothing wrong to say about our stay at this hotel. They are certainly customer service orientated. Worth every penny to stay here.

Room Tip: This is a downtown/portside hotel. It has some ambient noise, but not bothersome. Some people said t...

First of all, the look/facade of this hotel does not scream Marriott. In fact, it looks very unique.

And I must admit, I love this hotel. It's expensive but the amenities and location is great. They don't have a concierge lounge, but Gold and Platinum members are given breakfast buffet vouchers at the restaurant in the lobby (Hook & Plow). The vouchers are only for the "cold breakfast or continental breakfast" but for $7 more, you can enjoy the full breakfast, which offers omelet, pancakes and waffle stations. This hotel is across from the water and walking distance to the pier so you can enjoy seafood Seattle has to offer. And best part, there's an elevator/stairs next to the hotel that will take you to the famous Pike Place. I would gladly stay here again without a doubt.

We used Marriott points for a pre-cruise stay in Seattle. I didn't realize just how close it is to the Pike's Place market. Just next to the hotel is a glass elevator which takes you up to the street above the hotel and from there it's a one block uphill climb. Great location! Also convenient for the hop on/hop off bus.
The bar inside the hotel has great appetizers and the concierge lounge offers a nice breakfast!

This hotel is a few blocks walk to the central shopping area downtown, but if you want to explore the waterfront, it's an excellent place to stay, and right across from the Bell Harbor Marina if you happen to come by boat. We stayed here for only a night, but were very impressed with the valet and front desk staff. Rooms were modern and very comfortable. The bar and restaurant were nice as well. If you want other nearby dining options, there is Anthony's Bell Street Diner right across the street.

We would definitely stay here again. It's a robust walk to the main downtown shopping area near Pine& 5th/6th, but taxis are always an option if you came to shop. This hotel is also near the Great Wheel - a relatively new attraction along the waterfront in Seattle. Views are beautiful at night when it's lit up and the sun is setting.

I stayed here for work for a few days and was pleasantly surprised, on my last trip I stayed at the Renaissance.

The location is much better here.

Pros:
-Nice staff and lobby
-Rooms are nicely decorated and some have a very nice view
-Lounge is very nice, a little small but had very good service. Breakfast options were pretty nice

Cons:
-Parking is pricey, but given the location its understandable
-Staff was friendly, but no upgrade for me (platinum member) - even though I found rates for a nicer room that night

I'd stay here again, but probably not for work since it's more of a tourist location.

Room Tip: Ask for a water view - or a room with a balcony.

I booked 2 rooms at the Marriott Waterfront for a single night, to be close to the Victoria Clipper Ferry the next morning. We are a family of 5 and specifically requested adjoining rooms. The front desk assured me the rooms were indeed adjoining, even though the numbers were not consecutive. Well. They were not. First strike. The rooms were also smaller than other Marriott's I've stayed in, making it a crowded place for 3 young adults. Strike 2: Charge for Wi-Fi PER DEVICE, PER ROOM, and it didn't even have a good connection. Strike 3: Called the Bell Captain to inquire about arrangements to get our luggage to the Ferry in the morning. Was told it was no problem, JUST ACROSS THE STREET, and they could put our luggage on a cart to take over for us. Not true. Wrong pier. Even after I asked 2x to confirm. We had to take a taxi in the morning, and had fortunately come down early so we didn't miss our boat.
Pros: The Concierge was helpful making a good dinner suggestion and reservation for us.
Other Cons: Musty, damp smell in the rooms. Noisy - could hear lots of talking, walking down the hallways. Nothing open for breakfast early.
Would not choose to stay here again, and I'm a frequent Marriott guest.
