Wonderland in the middle of Puget Sound. The eats at the Indian Lodge looked quite good, but otherwise the campgrounds and the island trails are lovely, as is the marina and the kayak campground. Heavenly spot.

I love this place its so quiet and serene the only way there is on your private boat . or the Tillicum village tour, they will take you to the island with a narrated tour and then have the salmon dinner the indian traditional way and a little live show and then back to seattle .

A great boat trip from Seattle to Blake Island. We could clearly see Mt Ranier and the boat ride was very enjoyable. It was narrated nicely and we learned a lot about the Sound. Take the boat ride over, enjoy the Salmon bake and relax! Recommended!

We go to blake island quite often by boat. You can get there by a personal boat, or through Argosy cruise line. If boating is your way of transportation and you want to hook up to power, i suggest getting there as early as possible. It is first come first serve. We have an annual marine pass which is useful if you visit more than 3 or 4 times and tie up to the dock, or a buoy.
We love the island, it is a safe place for the kids to be kids. To go on adventures, and see wildlife. The island is great for hiking also. There is a little store on the island that sells coffee, ice-cream and any other camping supplies you may need.
There is also a gift shop at the Tillicum Village, and they serve coffee wine and beer. However they open at 11am. So it is best to bring instant coffee in my opinion.
The west side of the island has a really cool beach and camp sites also. There is a lot of camping all over the island. I highly recommend it to anyone who loves peace and quiet, and an amazing view of Seattle, and Mt. Rainier and Mt. Baker.

We took the boat over for the 4 hour outing, the price of the cruise included a buffet style meal with salmon as the main entrée and a show. The entire set up is over priced in my opinion. 76 per adult 66 for seniors per the website.

Personally I couldn't eat the food it was to oily. The setting is similar to a cafeteria setting the inside of the building is dark.
Souvenirs were very expensive. The show was entertaining and tells stories of the Sannish Indians.

The surroundings around the building and going and coming were beautiful and picturesque.
If I had it to do over I'd opt out of the buffet meal and take a cruise over just to look around.
Would I go again probably not ... the experience was good and the boat ride was relaxing.
