This is a pretty neat place. Our room was more like a studio apartment with a little kitchen. It was just down the street from a Safeway Super Market which was handy when my son got sick during the night. This hotel warned me beforehand that they were trying to be green (welcome to Seattle) but the place didn't have air conditioning for one thing. June in Seattle can be hot and sticky....It was OK though, the windows open and we were on the 3rd floor. The street was very quiet below and we got a good nights sleep. The beds were older and the place certainly isn't the Ritz, but neat in it's own way. The bathroom was sort of older but clean and like I said, it was more like a studio apartment rather than a regular hotel room. The area this hotel is in, is very quaint. The people I talked to (the locals?) seemed very nice. The staff was very accomodating and eager to give me information. They even told us how to use the local mass transit buses to save money and time. I liked this hotel, although I would imagine lots of people looking for a spa like atmosphere would not be so impressed.

If I had to say one thing negative it would be the elevators are slow slow slow and because of the no air conditioning thing, they are hot and stuffy.

We had a rocky start when they didn' t have a room for 3 availible and they where all booked up. We came to a solution of one of the rooms has a baywindow with a couch in it and they would make that up as a bed. After that the stay was wonderful. The Med is perfectly located. We walked to the Seattle Center which was only a few minutes walking distance. We purchased the city passes at the music experience and found all but one place was within walking distance of the Inn. The lobby has 2 computers that you can use for free to find out schedules and locations of everything listed in the book. There is also a business center if you need to print something. The same floor as the lobby is the washers and dryers. It cost 75 cents to wash and 75 cents to dry. The next time we go to Seattle we will book a room at the Mediterranean.

I don't get the rating of this hotel. OK, it's probably not a 4 star, but 3 or even 3 1/2 seems about right. Would recomend to anyone. Great location, everything in good condition, and a really nice business center.

This hotel is located very close to the Seattle Center, Space Needle, Pike Place Market, and other attractions. The staff at the hotel was very accommodating, rooms very clean and nicely furnished, with wonderful views of the city. Parking was affordable and other means of transportation were very convenient. A Safeway Grocery store is convenient as well as a Starbucks Coffee shop outside the lobby. The front desk manager, Sheila, was very helpful, knowledgeable, and congenial. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others. We stayed here prior to and following our Alaska cruise and it was convenient to the port.

Great location, clean room with Kitchenette, DVD player, Flat screen TV, and $ 5.00 fee for internet ( not wireless ). Parking is $ 15.00 per day. Great Gym, friendly staff and lots of great restaurants everywhere. Located in the Queen Anne district. We will stay here again.

Stayed here for a few nights in May this year. Basically, loved it! The hotel is out of the CBD a bit in a nice suburb, with great variety of good value restaurants. It is about a casual 10min walk to the Space Needle (about 5min to Key Arena). To get into the CBD could you always catch the monorail (for $2) and save the 30min walk. The hotel room was generous, well decorated and clean. It had a real comfy bed, but the bathroom had a noisy exhaust fan which I found kind of annoying even with the door closed. The room had a kitchenette (complimentary water, popcorn and coffee). It had a fridge and microwave etc (which was great as there is no restaurant or breakfast) but there is an awesome supermarket nearby (3min walk with everything prepared at excellent prices). There is Starbucks downstairs. Free internet access at 2 computers in the foyer. The staff should also get a rap.. they were great - friendly, helpful and courteous - cant thank them enough. Also, don't forget to go to the roof.. nice views of the city. Overall, would definitely recommend and would most certainly come back.

We were planning to spend 4 days in Seattle and pre-booked this hotel hrough Expedia.

We booked a room with a kitchenette and when we arrived we disordered the following things:

- We received a room with a window to the inner yard. When we asked to switch, we were told that reservations made with Expedia are not treated the same and we can't switch to a room with a window to the front. When we spoke to Expedia, we were told that they are not aware of such treatment and it's not a part of their agreement with the hotel.
I can't tell who is to blame here, but the bottom line is: if you choose to stay in this hotel - make the reservation directly.

- Kitchenette: The kitchenette included a sink, a mini fridge and a microwave. It did not include any kitchenware such as glasses, plates, knifes and forks and didn't include any kind of stove. How will you eat your microwaved dinner? - with some plastic plates you'll buy yourself I guess...

- The internet was not free (this is common in large cities) and costs and additional $5 a day. There is not wifi internet and you have to use a cable.

Overall, we don't think that the $130 rate provides good value.
