“Good location, street noise”
Reviewed November 1, 2012 via mobile

The hotel is in a great location for public transit, food, nightlife and sits in the middle of a fun Seattle area. My room faced Queen Anne Ave and was loud. I would avoid staying in a room facing the main street and request a room looking west. The internet was fast but cost a few dollars per day. Take a stroll to the sculpture park and walking along the water.

I would stay here again if the price was right and the room was not on the main road.

The room was reasonably clean, except for the armchair, which was dirty. There was no air conditioning, which is a drawback. The overall maintenance of the hotel seemed so-so.

The hotel is about 2 miles from the downtown Amtrak station and a fairly easy walk to Pike's Market. It's only about 5 blocks from live theatre, and there is a movie theatre less than a block away.

The staff were fine, but were not knowledgeable about public transit.

Reviews imply that the stay includes complementar fruit, but that appears to be a myth.

We stayed two nights here in order to take in the King Tut exhibit. The room we had included a mini fridge, sink, the usual coffee makings, a microwave and several cupboards so if one needed to stay for several days these things would be an asset. I liked that they included complimentary bottled water in the fridge and Starbuck's coffee. Decor was unprepossessing but OK; the carpets looked new. The cleaning staff clean your room right away if you go out so no arriving back in the afternoon to a room still not made up like in some other hotels. I liked the pleasant and helpful front desk staff, good business centre, and Starbucks's coffeeshop on site. View from the roof was great. The location was perfect for us -- walking distance to Seattle Centre and the monorail to go downtown plus lots of restaurants and a movie theatre close by. I'd return for more events in this area.

Room Tip: Maybe pick a corner suite or room -- ours faced another building and was kind of dark -- and if you...

We were there for only one night after a concert at the Key Arena, and most everything went smoothly.
I called ahead to request early check in & spoke to a very polite & helpful person. When we arrived at 3pm, the room was ready & it was nicely updated & decorated with a refer & microwave, a window seat, a king bed & a view of the space needle. Check out was also a breeze, so I guess my only negatives are as follows:
+Someone else mentioned that the garage, for which you pay $15 extra, was tight. Tiny would be closer to the mark & nearly every space marked 'compact'. By that, I think they mean 'Smart Car' or motorcycle !
+The elevators were very slow.
+Why do some hotels tuck in the bottom sheet at the head of the bed & then have it end 6 inches or more before the foot of the bed? Very uncomfortable to have sheets ending at your ankles. Is this for speed or do they just need to buy bigger sheets?

The view from the room, well that was ONLY the space needle, but the deck was 360. A glass of wine at night, full moon, space needle, beautiful and very romantic. Coffee on the deck in the morning, what a great way to wake up. No crowds, plenty of chairs. On to the room, comfortable, clean, kitchenette, comfortable bed, no complaints. Very nice business center, which we used several times. Convenient location to public transportation, small grocery stores for breakfast items, liquor stores, shopping. There two days, never used a cab. We walked to the needle, pikes market, restaurants along the water, state ferry, etc. Price, about $95 dollars. Would stay there again.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view of the space needle.

You can't get any closer to Seattle Center, and we found it was an easy walk to Belltown, Pike Place, downtown, and the rest of Queen Anne. The super-cheap $5 bike rentals had us biking to the zoo, Gas Works, Volunteer Park, and several other places. Lots of great food within walking distance. In short, it's a great location. We took the light rail (then a bus) from the airport, and walked/biked around for a whole week. No parking, no cabs, no buses, no hassles.

Most rooms don't have much of a view (if at all), but the rooftop balcony is quite nice if a little sparse. The on-site laundry was helpful. We appreciated some small details like clearly stating which in-room items were free: the usual coffee and tea, but also the bottled water and microwave popcorn. No hidden costs anywhere we found. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the hotel was clean and well cared for. No complaints at all, and we'd happily stay there again.

Excellent value with the 40% discount we found, still a Very Good value with typical online booking rates.

Room Tip: Top floors on street side should have a bit of a view, but also street noise. Stay away from the st...

The rooftop and the location cannot be beat. Problem was the bed a 3/4 bed and only one in the room for $95/night thats not right. The hotel was full so no other choice luckily my friend sleeps like a mummy and we were ok. If Id seen Queen Anne Inn I'd have tried that at least you get breakfast. I have not stayed in a double in the US that didnt have two beds. Expedia shouldnt let two people book into this one. We werent a couple! Try Bamboo Garden a couple of blocks away vegetarian rest wow we ate so much and it was$20 for two. The staff were very helpful. Inguess they ve worked out their staff problem.
