The location is ideal for anyone visiting the University and parking is free and convenient. After that, it's difficult to be positive. The service was well-meaning, but slow. The a/c was erratic. The water ran cold mid-shower. I am sure most of this can be explained by the renovations, but we weren't told about them when we booked and would have stayed somewhere else.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your comments about your recent stay at Watertown Hotel. I apologize for the negative experiences you had due to our renovations. We made great efforts to ensure the product we were offering did not dip too much but it looks like we failed at that during your stay. I can say that our lobby renovations are nearing completion and I would like to offer you my email so we can discuss your possible return to Watertown in the future. Please feel free to contact me at agebran@watertownseattle.com. Thank you again for your reveiw and I hope to hear from you soon!

The Watertown Hotel is clean, the employees were friendly and the rooms were clean and comfortable. Some bonus features: Complimentary popcorn, coffee and water bottles are in each room. The shower has good water pressure, the sink is outside of the bathroom, so one person can use the facilities while the other brushes their teeth or washes their hands. Also, the hotel has loaner bikes.
There are quite a few restaurants (of all ethnic variety) within walking distance.
We would definitely stay here again.

"Clean, Friendly, and Comfortable" it's hard to improve upon that! Thank you for your review of your recent stay at Watertown Hotel and I'm thrilled to hear you enjoyed all aspects of our hotel. We strive to offer our guests amenities and room features that make sense. Our bicycle rental program is very popular and we love to recommend the numerous restaraunts within walking distance. Just spent three nights on the sixth floor of this well located hotel. They used to include free breakfast but they got rid of that. The air conditioning flucuates off and on creating a sleep destroyer. The staff were fundamentally indifferent. Please note that this used to be a great hotel for the money. Not so anymore.
What is really surprising is the total lack of comfort in the bed. No box spring, just a mattress.
They need to step that up. I will never stay there again

Thank you for your candid and honest review. I want to apologize for not being able to offer you a bed you thought was comfortable or an overall value that warranted a return trip. Bed comfort is a very subjective topic and is difficult to quantify. I can say that Watertown maintains our beds on a regular basis to maximize the range of comfort we offer to all our guests. We have improved our Food & Beverage offerings by opening Pineapple Cafe in our north lobby which all guest's receive 15% off. We now offer a full espresso menu and a more diverse breakfast AND lunch menu. Watertown also offers all our guests FREE wireless internet, undergroung secured parking, and shuttle service to/from downtown and other local areas. Thank you again for your comments and we hope you will reconsider staying with us again in the future.

Hotel was great! We had 4 people in our room and never felt crowded. Staff was very friendly.
We would definitely stay there again. Great value for price.
Complimentary coffee and tea was nice too! The free parking was secure and easy to find spots.

Hello and thank you for taking the time to review your experience at Watertown. Having four adults in the room is a good test of comfort and I'm please that we passed! I'm also happy you enjoyed our free coffee and tea offerings as well as our free parking garage. We look forward to taking care of you upon your return!

Our family stayed here for 2 nights while visiting Seattle. This boutique hotel exceeded our expectations! It was refreshing to walk into a room that was not a typical cookie-cutter hotel room. The room we had was bright and spacious. The beds were comfortable. The room was clean, modern and nicely appointed. It included a fridge, microwave and Keurig coffee maker. The complimentary K-cups were great in getting a decent cup of coffee to take on the road with me in the mornings. The wi-fi and internet all worked well during our stay.
While the hotel does not include breakfast, there is a small cafe on the main floor that has a limited selection of breakfast items (bagels, yogurt, fruit, breakfast burrito, ham and egg sandwiches, etc.). It was quite reasonably priced and got us going in the morning. If I had a longer stay, I might consider going elsewhere for breakfast, but this was adequate for our short stay.
Self parking in a secure, well-lit underground parking lot was included with our room. Guests could only access their own floor of the hotel by using the key card in the elevator, so we felt very safe and secure.
The hotel was easy to get to from Downtown Seattle. We did not use the shuttle service or the loaner bikes, but it is nice to know that the hotel has these options for getting around.
Complimentary coffee and pineapple mini-cupcakes were a nice treat in the afternoon/evening.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Checking in and out was a breeze!
Overall, we enjoyed our short stay and felt that we received very good value for our money. We would definitely book another stay at this hotel again in the future or recommend it to friends.
