we had a group lunch. arrived pretty early at 11AM, the host is flexible on accommodate the menu item (the special is out that day, they put Salmon instead). we had a quite corner all to the group which is great.

the food is relative fast, it tastes good and price right. the place get a little more busy and they only had one server that day.

This is a pleasant beer-centric restaurant with rotating taps. Food-wise, the specials can be hit or miss. The thing to order is the salads: wild greens in a tasty vinaigrette with either green apples or baked, pecan-encrusted goat cheese, with a piece of blackened salmon on top. I don't know how they can make such fantastic salmon when everything else is iffy, but this is what I order every time, and so should you.

From the flat-iron steak salad to the blackened salmon sandwich to New Orleans gumbo to pale-ale batter fish tacos, this pub will tickle your taste buds AND quench your thirst. We have always enjoyed their freshly prepared dishes and friendly service. A short but affordable and varied wine list for the non-beer drinkers. Easy and cheap ($1 for 2 hrs) parking in the neighborhood lot down the alley. Be sure to explore this vibrant neighborhood, especially the eclectic Columbia City Gallery,1 block north.

Columbia City Ale House is a great find. The neighborhood of Columbia City, just south of Seattle, is an up-and-coming neighborhood offering diversity and a whole host of shops, restaurants, brewery and old brick theater. And its easily connected to Seattle by bus or the new Link Light Rail too. Columbia City Ale House is one of three well-known Seattle pubs, all with the same ownership... Columbia City Ale House (Columbia City), 74th Street Ale House (Phinney) and Hill Top Ale House (Queen Ann). This is not at all your typical bar or pub food... these pubs serve a menu-full of delicious dishes from grilled chicken with onions, peppers, chipolte mayo to fantastic stews, chowders and burgers, to their brand new, and extremely popular, spicy tuna melt! And, wash any of these down with an assortment of local Pacific Northwest brews.

This restaurant is in a great location and serves very good pub food and wonderful beers. My favorite has always been the chicken sandwich. They have another restaurant called the 74th St Ale House.
