Yeah, it's kinda gross! But, I love it... So unique and community driven! I mean, where can you contribute your 'I was here' momento better than here (and maybe take a photo of it for proof)??
Just hold on tight to that toddler's little hand!!

I’ve been to Seattle dozens of times and never heard about the gum wall until I started geocaching a few months ago, and saw it listed. I stopped by to check it out, and oh my goodness – it really is something. Fascinating and disgusting all at once. There were invitations to prom on there written in gum, gum shaped peace signs and names, gum dripping from the window sills like icicles, interesting until it gets to be too gross, and you feel like you need to go wash your hands w/ sanitizing soap a couple dozen times. But, a cool thing to see, especially if you have kids. Plus, it's FREE!

Just walk down and check out the wall. Yes, it is a wall of chewed up gum, but it is kind of neat to see what can happen when a bunch of people all have a little GUMption (sorry for the pun!)

It is a wall of gum. Guests ask to see it. Take them when we visit the market. Some leave their gum, most just say "yuk"!

There is so much to see around Seattle, I'd hate to see anyone wasting their time to see how many gum-chewers have left their memorabilia on a wall. The whole thing looks contagious to me. The alley is a useful path from our apartment to the Pikes market area, and it's the place for joining the enjoyable Ghost Tours, but I'm not impressed by the cultural contribution of used chewing gum. Call me old-fashioned or whatever.
