“So so for price”
Reviewed August 20, 2013

Our room was $250.00 a night, plus $20 for parking, plus $20.00 for a rollaway (yes for a rollaway). If we had spend $175.00 per night, I'd give it 4 stars plus. But I expect a little more paying close to $300.00 (pre-tax) per night for a somewhat dated "non-luxury, free b-fast, no bar or restaurant, kind of hotel." But it was very clean. As others have mentioned, only one working elevator our entire 3-nights and I learned from another patron that it had been like that for her entire prior week stay, we started using the stairs (6 floors). Breakfast was better than most similar-styled hotels. Streetcar outside very convenient for downtown trip or to catch monorail connection for Seattle Center, that was best part of location. Next to Lake Union but this area mostly urban, not a lot of green space so location was good for going to lake-side restaurant; but not for a stroll. A lot of construction in area. Free Wifi and coffee. Tight parking garage. No bell help and no restaurant if that is important to you.

Comfortable, spacious rooms. Exceptionally fine free breakfast. Nice pool, jacuzzi and workout area. Conveniently located at the south end of Lake Union. Parking charge is a bit more reasonable than elsewhere in Seattle. Free wi-fi worked very well. We also experienced the elevator problem noted by others. Only one elevator worked for all four nights we were there, and this caused a lot of congestion at breakfast time. Road construction in the area resulted in some confusion.

We stayed here for three nights on a recent vacation to Seattle. The hotel is located right next to the last stop on the Lake Union Trolley which was very convenient. We were able to easily get to downtown to take either the light rail, bus, or monorail wherever we needed to go.

The hotel looks like it was an Embassy Suites at some point since it has the open atrium design. Our room had two bedrooms and two bathrooms which was wonderful with a teenager. The breakfast area very large and we never had trouble finding a table. There are two excellent seafood restaurants right across the street.

We were treated very well as Marriott elite members throughout the stay. This does not always happen so I wanted to acknowledge that. They even helped us arrange a town car for an easy transfer to the port area for an early morning departure to VIctoria.

Overall, I would stay here again if we are in Seattle.

We stayed for family reunion prior to cruise. Nice location, while not downtown, very convenient to trolley or just a mile walk to Seattle Center. Great to have wi fi and breakfast included. Also laundry facilities and pool/fitness center. Good dining very close by. Hotel is a little dated and only had one working elevator (for 7 floors). But overall great service!

I was traveling with a friend to Seattle for a 4 day weekend and since we both like our privacy, we found a great 2 bedroom apartment at the Residence Inn. We were very pleased because most hotel 2 bedrooms I've stayed in have a master bedroom with en suite and a second bedroom with a second bathroom somewhere outside the room. At the Residence Inn, each bedroom had its own en suite - a wonderful convenience. It also had a kitchen with all the dishes, etc. The friendly staff placed us on a quiet side of the building.

Breakfast in the lobby is included. the variety of food was quite amazing, including eggs, potatoes and meat (sausage, bacon, etc. depending on the day). You can also take it up to your room if you don't mind it getting cold on the trip!

Any negative points? The furniture in the living room was a bit dated and needs replacing. Other than that, the beds were great, the rooms were very clean. We even had a small balcony to sit on for morning coffee. I'd come back.

Room Tip: The Inn faces onto a very busy construction site as they are widening a major road leading to the fr...

We had a two-bedroom suite with a lake view that we shared with my husband's brother and his
wife. There were two balconies: a small one off the living room and a big one off one of the bedrooms. The bedrooms and bathrooms were spacious and the beds firm and supportive.

The kitchenette was quite adequate as we only used it for snacks since breakfast was included - a very good value in Seattle.

Though not located right downtown, the hotel is on the streetcar line, making downtown quickly accessible without a car. Even with GPS, driving downtown Seattle is quite challenging and using public transportation can make getting around a bit easier.

Initially the price seemed high since we're not used to Seattle prices, but in contrast to the next hotel we stayed in, it was probabably well-priced, except for the cost for parking.

We didn't experience any rude staff at the front desk as others have. In fact, when we
decided to extend our stay, the front desk helped us find accommodations elsewhere since
the Residence Inn was booked beyond our original dates. Our stay was quite pleasant and I
would recommend it.

We did not realise at the time of booking that it included breakfast, dinner and free Internet. Room wa a suite so had a small kitchen, and living room. The hotel guest laundry is also great and very cheap. Not central to down town but easy to get to by bus (70) or tram for $2.50. Hotel is a little dated but clean. My only comaint was front desk staff. Girl who checked us in was incredibly rude to the point we were going to walk out and leave. Not the welcome we were expecting.
