“Good Hotel and Great Location!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 17, 2013

Would probably give 4 1/2 if I could. Staff was friendly and courteous. Room very clean. We had a nice view of harbor out of the full length window with motorized sun shade (very cool)! Short walk to the market and several restaurants within just a block or two. Less than $10 to cab most anywhere downtown if the rain comes.

Overall a good hotel. As the other reviews say, great location and nicely appointed hotel. The bathroom with soaker tub is one of the best I've had (that includes Mandarin and Ritz brands). You have a title foyer, electric blinds and even a doorbell. Very complete.

Tip: On this particular stay I did changed rooms. First room was 1112 -the bed is um, well used? Incredibly squeaky when you put your bag on it, and forget about rolling over. It was somewhat humorous how loud this bed was/is actually. Every spring made a noise. Between this and a location across from the elevators there was too much noise so we moved. Overall found the rooms a bit noisy --you do hear hallway noise pretty easily even if you are in one of the corner locations. As a light sleeper this was a bit of a problem.

Room Tip: Avoid rooms that face elevator or corners. Hallway noise carries easily into these rooms.

Stayed at the Grand Hyatt the weekend of 9/7. Accommodations were very nice, the room was a very good size and comfortable. The whole property was very clean. Really was within walking distance of about everything including Pikes Market and the Space Needle. Would certainly stay there again.

Having the Ruth Chris steakhouse, a starbucks, and a pretty good deli on the ground floor really made this a convenient place to stay. The rooms are the usual high quality hyatt rooms with comfortable bed, bathroom, etc. One thing to note is that you can use the pool in the Olive 8 hyatt around the corner for $20 a day.

Stayed on a Sept weekend night for our anniversary for $260 booked last minute directly through hotel for a high floor water view King. The lobby was pretty bland with the event rooms occupying a large corridor off it. The room was very nice, but small, and the view was awesome. The bathroom was huge with separate tub and shower. There is a fridge in the room and an ihome charging dock. Self parking was $30 a night we valet parked for $43. Pikes marketplace was a short walk away, as are many shops and restaurants. We booked a wine tour through Seattle Wine Tours and was told by the front desk to wait for them in the wrong location, wasting 30 minutes of tour time. Front desk also wouldn't check me in without my husband since his name was on the room. Valet attendants lacked personality but took great care of the car and even moved it for us from self park to valet as the spots in self park are ridiculously small. The gym was very nice but sauna and hot tub closed at 10. Overall a very nice stay, but a bit expensive for a night in the city. Tip: there is a target a couple streets over

ask for a good view- particularly, you can get one of several rooms with a direct view of the space needle. the prices are reasonable for a big city, and the rooms are fairly spacious. the rooms are clean, and the lobby and common areas are quite nice. a ruth's chris in the lobby is a plus. service is great. this is convenient to pioneer square, pike's place market.

Great downtown location within a few blocks of restuarants, shopping and tourist venues. Hotel staff is excellent and rooms are spacious, quiet and clean. After multiple stays, never any issues with the rooms or the staff. Short walk to multiple high end or casual dining establishments.
