My husband and I stayed at the Hyatt in Maui for our wedding last year, so when we knew we wanted to head to Seattle for our last weekend away before our baby arrives next month, we decided to book the Grand! Luckily the front desk upgraded us from a king room to a corner suite as my husband mentioned it was our baby moon!! WOW what an amazing room and hotel!! The views were incredible, the bed was so comfortable and the bathroom was to die for!! I had three baths in two days in that amazing soaker tub!! Everyone at the hotel was super friendly and the location was amazing!! Right by all the shopping and only 5 blocks or so from Pike St Market. We even walked to the Mariners game on Sunday and Im 8 months pregnant! We have stayed at many hotels in Seattle and this was right up there as one of the very best, we will definitely be back!! Thank you for a wonderful weekend stay!!

Checked in and was upgraded to Room 2621 (platinum member) the room was spacious and had a wonderful view down Pine St to the Pike Public Market, across the bay to the Olympia Mountains beyond. Also a side view of the Space Needle.

The bathroom was spacious with a soaking tub and marble tile shower - beautiful - the lighting was a little dim for me. The king bed was comfy but not heavenly. Amenities included a mini fridge that was empty so you could actually use it, big desk, and comfy chair and ottoman. Loved the huge shade that would raise and lower with the flip of a switch. Room was quiet and nicely furnished but lacked any wow factor.

The Hyatt is so conveniently located - we rode the train from the airport to Westlake Center and walked one block to the hotel for about $2.50 each! Tons of shopping within two blocks! Cheescake Factory and Starbucks Around the corner and Ruth Chris Steakhouse next door.

Walked to the Pike Market every morning to see the sights and eat amazing apple fritters From
Three Girls Bakery. Amazing flowers at the market. Ride the ferry to Bainbridge Island and back for around $7 each from Pier 52 for amazing views. Take the monorail one block down to the Space Needle and be sure to see the International Fountain. Also, walk around the Pioneer Square area - beautiful architecture.

After trying out a bunch of the top rated hotels in downtown Seattle we settled on the Grand Hyatt and now come here at least a couple days a month. We like the rooms as they are decorated in warm woods and neutral colors and, very important to us, the beds are very comfortable. Typically we need to hang out in the room to get some work done so the functionality of the rooms and the quality of the furniture matters. Grand Hyatt Seattle did a nice job of choosing well made furniture and creating a space that allows you to comfortably focus or just hang out.

Bathrooms are nice, fully appointed and great showers and tubs. We get free wi-fi with our moderate level frequent stay status (platinum).

Once we got a rate that included breakfast for two and we were allowed to use the credit toward room service. We don't usually order room service as we have been disappointed in the past at other hotels by poor quality food that is overpriced. But the breakfast here was a nice surprise so now we make a habit of it. The cage-free eggs are generally cooked just right, the wheat toast comes thick and warm, imported jams and room temperature butter are served and they serve a really delicious coffee piping hot. They also don't mind steaming a side of cream for us. And they have real hash browns that are crispy on the outside and soft and creamy on the inside. Yum!

I have found service in Seattle quite good compared to cities like Los Angeles, Boston and New York. People here pay attention, are polite, they don't rush and are genuinely friendly. This hotel is no exception and I'm always impressed by the intelligent and nice check-in we get. They are also nice to our dogs, even when the little one barks.

With regards to bringing your dogs (limit two dogs under 50 lbs), be aware that they charge $50 PER night you stay, regardless of the size.

The location is convenient to the ferry and the freeway and we like that we can walk across the street to see a movie, go shopping for just about anything (Barney's New York and Barnes and Noble are also across the street) or get a hair cut around the corner at our favorite Sassoon Salon (Lisa is amazing). We're still exploring the area and there is a lot to explore around here. It's just up the street from Capitol Hill and that area offers more local boutiques. Downtown seems to offer mostly recognizable chain stores. Downtown doesn't differentiate itself from many other big city centers but it's easy to get from here to the more Seattle specific neighborhoods.

One of us was here for a conference recently. The convention center is only about 1 block away, so the location is very convenient. In order to avoid excessive noise in downtown Seattle, which is cited in so many TripAdvisor reviews of downtown hotels, Saturday night was spent at a hotel near the airport. However, street noise was not a problem at all on the Sun through Tues nights at the Hyatt. Although being above the 20th floor probably helped, there seems tro be very good soundproofing.

Very nice decor throughout with lots of marble and wood trim, including in the spacious bathroom. Did not try the restaurants or room service, but the deli on the ground floor was helpful for quick snacks.

Attended a conference for two nights. Rooms are spacious and very nicely appointed. Bathroom is huge and awesome, but no separate cammode. Surprisingly, bed is mediocre in such a nice hotel. The conference space is very nice, but the food is very odd. Today's lunch was under-cooked pork over middle eastern couscous and chick peas. I'm pretty sure most middle eastern dishes don't include pork. Starbucks in the lobby and super nice staff at the little cafe are a plus. Overall, it's a winner for location and surroundings.

Check in was quick, which is always a plus. The room I stayed in was clean and well appointed with a radical view of the city. Where they truly shined was the breakout sessions they put together during my conference. The food for said breakouts was tasty as well as thoughtfully and artistically displayed. One breakout had all food floating, on mini boats, around a moat the had made in the common area.

Staying here puts you within walking distance to most of the places you might want to visit in downtown Seattle. It's cheaper to park yourself in the garage than to use valet parking. Check-in was quick and friendly. Our room was very nice and well-appointed. There is a Ruth's Chris Steakhouse on site and other good restaurants close by and a Starbucks off the lobby. We would love to stay here again.
