Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Grand Hyatt, Seattle. Location is great, right in the heart of the city. Lots of great restaurants nearby. Rooms are quite big, had a very comfortable stay. Staff were very helpful and courteous.

Ask for a room facing the Needle - it looks great at night. The concierge level rooms provide a nice breakfast in the morning not just continental. The theatres, shopping, Pike St. Market, and Lake Union street car all within an easy walk of the hotel. Rooms are good sized, clean and modern.

Room Tip: West side rooms on higher levels give a great view of the Space Needle

I am Hyatt girl. When all else fails, I think Hyatt is the safest and best choice. The rates from hotels.com are always helpful too. We had a Club King Room on our first visit to Seattle: the location is fantastic with a view into the water and Pike Place street sign. The sign beckons you at night. The room is standard Hyatt: big bed, new amenities yet cozy. Love the huge bathroom. We had access to the Club lounge but I have to say service in the lounge is rather hit and miss. The staff in there seemed to be distracted and a couple of times I have been there, cutlery was not cleared and the tables not wiped. When there is a food spread out, the food looks like it has been mauled to death (especially when there are kids around, food is usually mauled to death) and the staff seem to just stand around looking distracted. I told the floor manager once about this and they did lift their game after that. The brekkie spread is not as good as the lounge in Vancouver but fresh fruit is always available. My biggest gripe is how they serve coffee. Why do they only provide paper cups? Environmentally unsound practice. By all means, paper cups for take-away coffee but for patrons eating in, surely, mugs are the way to go. I felt so guilty using one paper cup every single time I had a cuppa (which is like 3 times a day) and that i bought my mug along. Can you imagine the amount of waste generated from this? My second gripe is that mini bar fridge. I usually clear the fridge so that i can place my stuff in there. Dont do this here: if you move any of the items, their system starts charging you, even if you just moved it to the side. I asked for an extra fridge for $20 for the duration: i dont think we were even charged due to an incident we had with the room.

We had an incident in our room (pest-related) and we alerted the front desk. We were promptly moved within an hour to a room down the corridor and our laundry was done with compliments. The floor manager, GM and the head housekeeper came to help. We were also offered 2 free nights. I was extremely impressed by this.

The front desk personnel are personable and knowledgable. They remembered your names and what you were up to the day before. I wrote a couple of positive feedback for them, which I hope got back to them.

The gym is well equipped, new and spacious. The spa is a tad tiny but no one seemed to be go anyway.

The best thing about this place is its location and the bird eyes view. It is close to everything.

Room Tip: We had one on the high floor on the executive range. Good views from there.

We stayed at the Grand Hyatt as part of a conference and then extended for the weekend. It was a great location and service was excellent. There is a Ruth's Chris attached to the hotel and serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. My only complaint would be that the parking fee is outrageous but I guess that is to be expected with Seattle.

We again spent 4 pleasant days/nights at Seattle Grand Hyatt. It is centrally located next to the convention center, next to many shops, Pacific Place shopping center, 2 movie theaters and many restaurants, Starbuck below, minutes of walk to activities, dept stores and more shopping center within 2-3 blocks. Room is clean and plenty of space, fall asleep fast all the way to morning, services are nice and polite, not overly close, elevators are fast with no wait. I was given free internet access upon check in without asking for it, and late 3PM checkout just by asking. Excellent hotel for business travelers like us. A very pleasant and comfortable stay, will be back 6 months later.

Stayed here from January 11-12 in a king room. Tried to check in at 12pm and luckily enough, my room was already cleaned. (Jonathan at the front desk was very good-natured and helpful.) Although no free upgrades were available, my booked room was more than sufficient for one person. I was on the 24th floor with a view of the city and Space Needle. The room was spacious, tastefully decorated and immaculately clean. I appreciated the small details they provided like the Aquafresh toothpaste and electronic blackout curtains. Wifi comes with a fee but I signed up for their frequent customer club to get free wifi. Loved the huge bathroom, although I don't think the full marble countertop is consistent in all of the rooms (a friend staying on the same floor had only the sink). Perfect location, a block away from the Paramount Theatre and two blocks from Pacific Place and plenty of restaurants and shopping. A quick 5 minute walk to Capitol Hill. I will definitely stay here again. Only two quibbles are the hot water took forever to even become warm in the sink (like, several minutes) and the valet parking is rather expensive (>$40/night after tax). I would probably look at nearby parking garages instead, but parked here for the convenience.

It's wonderful that our central location allows our guests to walk to a show at the Paramount Theatre or go shopping at Pacific Place Mall. We are pleased that the amenities in the room were beneficial and that the blackout shades and great view made your stay "perfect." I stayed here coming back from a long, late international flight. (Light rail from airport to Westlake station - last one - a couple blocks walk.) My stay was excellent from start to finish. Wonderful tub to soak away airplane aches, big shower to invigorate the next morning. I always love the generous ginger-scented toiletries at Hyatt. Decor is stylish, warm, inviting. Beds are fantastic - tons of pillows, perfect firmness, great linens. Super clean. Next morning, a block's walk to convention center for shuttle bus home. Perfect! Will definately return.
