Well as promised, here is my review on the Hyatt in Seattle…. What a gem of a property in Seattle!! For those of you that have read my other reviews regarding hotel properties, I’m a Starwood Junkie, but every now and then I break the allegiance to see how the Johnson’s are doing. Well this property is definitely a property you must stay and experience if you every come to Seattle. The rooms a very specious, amenities are top notch, FD Agents are all spot on and the property is just fab!! They offer courtesy internet services in the room (don’t have to go to the lobby to get wired up) and that goes a long way for me. The property is located in downtown and everything is in walking distance.. really, walking distance. So, if you’re planning your next trip to “Emerald City” look into the Hyatt! Ok, I now need to get back to the Smith’s and promote my allegiance to Starwood!

The room and specially the restroom was very clean and up to date. The service was also excellent. However parking was expensive for the hotel guests (around $30 per day).

The location of the hotel is great... In the heart of downtown SEATTLE.

Floors below 18 or so hear plenty of street noise until 1-2am, and have limited view. Bath shower/tub are small. Housekeeping is fine but expected better from G-Hyatt. Hotel self-parking, in a word, "ridiculous" (nearly as much as the rental). Excellent closet space and windows, but tight bdrm area in our corner suite.

Room Tip: Would stay a bit farther from city-center next time.

My husband and I stayed here for a few days for our wedding anniversary. We had a corner King suite and the room was very comfortable and clean. Check in was very easy and we were able to get to our room early which was great after traveling. The view of the city was great too!
The hotel is with a short walking distance to Pike Place Market and you can also walk to the aquarium and other fun attractions. The hotel also has a Starbucks, steak house, and a sushi restaurant attached on the first level. All in all we enjoyed our stay very much.

Experience with front desk at check-in was superb! Had a double queen room facing the space needle, and I enjoyed the view very much. It was immaculate, the bathroom was very impressive, and I loved the automatic shade on the window that made the room super dark for sleeping!

Starbucks and a sandwich shop/convenience store right off the lobby—very convenient! It was a 5-minute walk to all the stores and the wharf. The workout room was very nice! Traveled for business, but stayed the weekend for personal, and found that Hertz is right on the same block. So, I was able to pick up a car there and return it to the airport. Worked out great!

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the Pike street side, and you'll be looking out at the space needle!

Stayed 3 nights for a conference at the hotel. Very clean. Rooms were well appointed, quiet and comfortable. There is a digital combo safe in the room to secure your valuables.

My room was on a lower floor, offering a city view, lots of concrete, but still felt open and airy with the huge floor to ceiling windows.

The fitness centre is above average compared to similar hotels. Plenty of treadmills, but could use some extra stationary bikes. Each piece of equipment has its own TV. A good mix of weight machines a solid road workout session to shake off all the conference sitting.

Hotel is very centrally located in the central business district. Not much going on in the immediate area, but it is just a short trip to most of the attractions and night life.

Self-parking was convenient.

I am not Hyatt elite and I was reluctant to book this location. I opted for a suite and Kendal hooked me up with an amazing view for the week. Electronic blinds are nice, bathroom spacious, shower walk in. Beds are old - Marriott and Westin have better beds without question. Televisions stink (outdated and small). Exercise room is significantly better than average. I could not talk the front desk into experiencing the concierge lounge for less than $50. Not drinking, I could not justify that cost. Housekeeping was excellent, I requested turn down. I did learn to request sheet changed daily - 3 day sheet changes is too much for me. Bell desk was prompt, friendly. They offered to take my bags up at arrival and I accepted - missed a tip when they forgot about me. Location here is ideal, I walked to everything and cabbed easily in the rain.

Room Tip: Small corner suite 2522 view was perfect for me. Elite rooms are floors 26-30 - those may have bett...
