“5-star Hotel Experience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 9, 2012

Excellent service from the staff. Great location. Extremely clean and classy hotel. Awesome hotel room with quite possibly the most beautiful hotel bathroom I've ever stayed in. Can't go wrong with this place. Awesome experience.

What can I say - great location! Right next to everything you'd want to see - walking distance of Pike's Market, great restaurants, good attractions. We upgraded to Club level, and it was totally worth it. We didn't even end up going to dinner some nights because we just ate the delicious food at the hotel!

We got a view of the Space Needle and the north side of the city, which was pretty awesome, too.

Room Tip: North side rooms have a view of the Space Needle

Lovely rooms and fabulous service from the moment we arrived until our departure. happy hour in the Chris Ruth Steak house lounge which meant half price off drinks and appies. (4-6) Dinner at the Cheesecake factory in the same block and it was fantastic. Hotel was a nice walk to Pikes market and a short one to the monorail. the only thing lacking in this hotel was a regular restaurant for breakfast, but there is a starbucks.

Room Tip: Request early check in when booking, we were able to check in at 10 am rather than 3 pm!!!

Great hotel, service was splendid. The location is excellent, you can walk to all major sights.

If you are traveling with children get the upgrade to the Grand Club it is worth every penny. The restaurants in the hotel are pricey however there are some excellent dining choices just across the street.

Thank you for the review. We agree that the Grand Hyatt Seattle is a great hotel with central location that is close to many Seattle landmarks - the Pike Place Market, the Space Needle and many museums. If Ruth's Chris is not your restaurant of choice, we recommend the Urbane Restaurant across the street, or ask one of our many associates for one of their favorites! We appreciate the feedback on the Grand Club as well, and we hope you come back and see us very soon.

If you are coming in from the airport, it's only a 3 block walk from the train station. Westlake station under nordstroms. Very convienent and a lot cheaper than a cab or shuttle van. The hotel itself is beautiful. We had a corner suite which was nice, too bad it rained almost the whole time we were there. Needless to say the view was not as nice as it could of been. But our room did have a courtesy umbrella, so that was a plus. Huge soaking tub, only a queen bed though. Free toothpaste, always a plus with me. Check in was a breeze. And Pine street has all the high end stores you might be looking for.

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay at the Grand Hyatt Seattle. I am glad you were able to take the Light Rail from the airport to downtown - it's so fast and convenient. I am glad you enjoyed the corner suite, and I hope you can get some better weather when you stay with us next time. The views are amazing!

My then fiancé and I stayed at the Grand Hyatt in Seattle before boarding a cruise to Alaska. I had stayed other, more expensive, places in Seattle and thought the Hyatt might be a relatively inexpensive way to spend the night. As it turns out, our overall experience was poor. From the check-in staff to a room type we hadn't booked I was disappointed with the hotel. I did fill out a Hyatt survey after our stay and the hotel management reimbursed me for some of the mistaken expenses we were charged as well as included a polite apology. That seemed to at least indicate a level of professionalism at the hotel we didn't get to experience personally.

Ruth's Chris for breakfast was a non-starter.

Room Tip: Be careful of paying for the option to upgrade. On check-in availability was limited and my water v...

I stayed a week recently and can recommend everything about this hotel with the exception of its Business Center. They have outsourced this and they charge for everything, including logging on to the computer. I needed to print a four page document and they charged me $11. This is not competitive with other hotels, most which provide this service free of charge.
The rooms are very comfortable and the bathrooms are very large and beautiful. The bathtubs are extra large and the shower is separate. I would certainly return the next time in Seattle.
