Stayed here with my husband one night while on vacation in Seattle. Very clean and comfortable. No complaints at all. Parking is $10 in small garage beneath hotel. Restaurant next door was fine for drinks and appetizers. We walked to Pike Street Market. Long walk but totally doable. Also walked to Space needle and caught the light rail downtown. Neighborhood felt just fine to us, though we are used to urban areas and all that entails. We would stay here again.

Wow- this hotel and the staff really set a high standard in every possible way. We travelled there with 45 kids!!!! and they accommodated all our craziness with a smile on their face every time.

The meals prepared were fresh, healthy and delicious - I've never eaten so much!!!

The Hotel is very safe and secure and we were treated with respect and priority. Would have NO hesitation in recommending this hotel and would go back in a heart beat!

Stayed at the Holiday Inn Seattle for 2 nights in november. The hotel gives you nothing but satisfaction. From the moment you walk through the doors until you check out you are treated very good. The rooms are large although the bathrooms are a little small. The location of the hotel is good. Only a few blocks from Seattle Center and the space needle. The staff at the front desk are great especially Mike and Jamie. The made our stay special. Do try the Emerald Grill Restaurant next to the hotel.

Got a Priceline bid of $60+ per night versus rack rate of $109+ per night (excluding weekends). Either way you go, this is a gret hotel to stay at. Front desk staff very friendly and willing to help in any way possible. Maintiance guy is also the delivery guy for blankets and whatever at night. Housekeeping is very meticulos in their cleaning.
Free newspapers in lobby every day, small business center (no heat in winter in that room). Coke and Pepsi vending on alternating floors. Very close to Seattle Center and Space Needle. Bus stops not that far away from hotel. Parking $10/night in 4 floor underground garage with elevator access. Key card entry to garage.

Technical aspect: Very modern, Free in room WIFI. Small drawback of no heat lamp in bathroom and a small always running exhaust fan in the bathroo. Upside, plenty of hot water in shower/bath and plenty of water pressure. Small kitchenette by the door with sink, microwave, coffe maker, refridgerator. Under the sink is a cabinet. Also included are 3 plastic throwaway plates and airline style silverware packs. Luggage stool behind the door for your big heavy suitcase and plenty of space in the room for the rest. Beds are double queen or single king with semi firm mattreses. Wired WIFI in room that is login/password controled. Other furnishings are a padded chair and a computer desk and chair. TV (old CRT model) has games via the Lodge Net tv system. TV system was acting up at the time we were there, missing audio on 1 channel and missing video on other channels. Staff was made aware, but it is beyond their ability to correct that problem. There is the standard wall forced air heater/air conditioning unit in the room. that is very quiet.

Staff: Very friendly and polite. Front desk will do their best to recomend local resturants and other points of interest if your from out of town and ask. They are a small staff and if you have a noisy neighbor all they can do is call that room and tell them to calm down. The night manager may get involved if it is beyond what a phone call can do. They blocked the room above me that was giving me the noise trouble for the next night and we got a good sleep that night. Maintance guy was working on keep the sidewalk in front of the hotel snow free as well as the drive through area during the big artic storm that came through town while we were there. When checking out I had enough weight to flatten the wheels on the bellman's cart, so I mentioned this to the desk and they called the on duty maintaince guy and he came out and asked what was wrong and I pointed it out to him. When I put the cart back inside he grabbed it shortly after that and took it to the shop to pump up the tires.

Extra comments: King5 TV is next door so you might hear some helicopter noise now and then, but it is very minmal. The queen room we got was next to the alley and the garbage trucks come around 7am every day or other day to empty the trash bins, they are pretty quiet. The attached resturant has a limited menu, but breakfast is always good there. Wait staff are very friendly. Hotel is within walking distance of a couple of drug and convience stores. A pizza resturant (Zeeks Pizza, a good place to eat) is 10 minutes walking distance from the hotel. The Huricane resturant is within 5 minutes walking distance, try the chili there.

We are considering staying there again at full price if we need a short term place to stay during out vacations in the future.

I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. Nice, clean, spacious room. Kitchenette, fridge, microwave. Very comfortable bed and pillows. Quiet. Friendly staff. Restaurant next door at Holiday Inn Express was very good. We used taxis to get around as there were 4 of us to split cost and my friends were not walkers. To walk to Pike Place Market would probably take about 15 minutes.
