We stayed here because it was convenient to family. I was pleasantly surprised what a nice place it was. The room was clean and big and the staff was very professional and friendly. The pool was clean as well. I would defiantly stay here in the future.

We got a good deal on this hotel, and it was close to where we needed to be, so we decided to give it a go. I was a little leery about the location (Aurora can be sketchy, especially after dark), but we were so pleasantly surprised! The lobby is very modern looking (could've been out of an IKEA catalog), and our room was spacious and very well appointed. We liked the room so much that we considered staying an extra night just to take advantage of it more, even though we had no other reason to be in Seattle! The staff was very helpful and friendly, and overall our stay was very enjoyable. We'll definitely be back!

Stayed as a couple in the hotel for three nights in August. The location is not bed - 30 minutes distance from downtown. Windows are overlooking a highway, therefore one could hear traffic noise throughout a day. However, at night it is less noisy.
We were pleasantly surprised by very pleasant staff, who was always there to help and advice.
Nice additions to a breakfast menu were steamed rice and pancakes.

Very nice and affordable rooms outside of Seattle and a staff that makes a point to greet you every time you leave and re-enter the hotel. 24 Hour pool, laundry and business center. Located across North Aurora from a marijuana dispensary, but right on the bus line to downtown, but also located in the district which seems to specialize in prostitution. I've got no qualms with any of the above mentioned activities, but if you do, there you go. There's also a Walgreen's a block away.

Service was fantastic. The desk had a great since of humor . They are very helpful and gave great restaurant suggestions. My daughter is a tease. She told the desk clerk that our clock in the room was 3 minutes off. The desk clerk said ok and picked up the phone to call someone to the room and then my daughter told them she was just kidding. We all had a great laugh.

Room Tip: I would stay here again. This was my second visit.

I'll get the bad out right away. We had booked a "King Suite" with the expectation of having a separate bedroom from the living area where the kids would be sleeping on a hide-a-bed. That is no longer the case at HIE hotels, as the king bed was separated from the living area by a wall about the same height as the bed. Makes no sense to me to make the kids sleep on a hide-away if we can't have a separate adult sleeping space. So, here is where the good begins:

After checking into our aforementioned "King Suite," I went down and explained my thoughts to Chloe, who as working the front desk. She completely understood my thinking and gladly changed us to a ready double queen room with no problems, even though at least one of my family had used the bathroom in the original room. Soon after moving into the double queen room, one of my other children came out of the bathroom and explained that she had clogged the toilet. We called for a plunger and within minutes, Chloe showed up at our door with the plunger and told us to just leave it in the room in case we had additional problems (we did not have any other problems, it was just the misuse of the low flow toilet by our daughter).

Later when we were going out, we stopped to ask questions about the area, since we were moving our daughter to college here, and again Chloe gave us plenty of advice and recommendations. Ok, are you seeing a theme here. CHLOE! She is great and a real asset to this hotel. (Hey, HEI, Chloe deserves a raise!)

We also received wonderful service from Amber, at the front desk, as well as housekeeping (stayed 3 nights and room was all prepped for us every day), and the staff that maintains the breakfast area.

Breakfast each morning consisted of some type of eggs, meats (bacon/sausage), make-your-own pancakes, breads (muffins/bagels, etc.) yogurts, among other things.

Other than my misunderstanding of "suite" here, our stay was really quite pleasant. And even that bit of misadventure was smoothly and professionally handled by Chloe.

We will definitely stay here again on future visits.

Room Tip: Suites don't mean separate bedroom and living areas.

This Holiday Inn Express was on par with others I have stayed at in the US and Canada. The front desk folks were friendly and helpful (lent us a wine bottle opener). The breakfast was similar to all other HI express's except they had a rice cooker for some reason, so I had a little rice with Surichi sauce. The room was clean, average size; the bathroom was pretty tight and the sink area was very small. The fitness room was workable, not fancy, but things worked. The hallways, elevators, stairways, etc were all well kept and maintained. The location is in a bit of a sketchy neighborhood. There is a good mexican restaurant just a minute drive.
