“Awesome food concepts and huge beer options”
Reviewed January 19, 2013 via mobile

Co-worker and I stopped in to grab a beer and a bite. Pretzels are all they're cracked up to be and more. Larger plates of food were average. Crazy amount of beers, but happy hour specials can make your evening worth it.

“Great pretzels and beer, the rest just so-so”
Reviewed January 16, 2013

This is a popular place! Difficult to get a seat. The pretzels and dips are amazing, the beers are excellent, but the rest of the food is just so-so. Great staff and service.

“Great beer bar with pretzels”
Reviewed January 10, 2013 via mobile

The beer list here is awesome, drafts and bottles. We had several great choices and they were reasonably priced. The pretzels and all the dips are good. Well worth the price. The regular food was just ok. Overpriced average burger and dry pork sandwich. G for the beer and pretzels but eat dinner somewhere else.

“Really fun place to visit”
Reviewed January 6, 2013

This place is just a really good pub. The food is way better than typical pub grub. Hand made pretzels, Killer BBQ, kobe burgers, etc. I had the best roast corn on the cob I have ever had in my life at this place. Hands down on of the best picks of NW microbrews. Shuffleboard, darts, big projection tv for Hawks games. Lots of other tvs throughout the bar. Community tables. Some outside seating. Cool vibe.

Note: I advise against trying it out on Friday nights though. There are allot of people who work in the adjacent buildings and he joint has been swamped both times I've tried going there. Any other time it seems to be fine.

“Great Sunday Brunch!”
Reviewed January 6, 2013 via mobile

We like visiting Tom Douglas' properties when we visit Seattle, as the food, atmosphere and service is dependably very good... and the Brave Horse Tavern did not disappoint. We visited on a Sunday late morning as the BHT was beginning to fill for an out of town Seahawks game. The brunch menu was available.

The food was fresh and with original takes on classic breakfast fare. The breakfast hash was not the typical finely ground meat, but diced and with a smokey BBQ flavor that was not overwhelming - just right for brunch tastes! For those not wanting brunch, the hamburgers were great! The meat is hand ground from fresh cuts. The meat does not require any other seasoning as it tastes great and they are served on freshly made buns.

The only negative for me personally is the large bench seating. Great for large groups, but not for a couple or singles, unless you wanted to socialize that way. There is other seating available, but it wasn't open when we were there.

It you find yourself in Seattle and are looking for an original, fresh and enjoyable place to eat, I highly recommend The Brave Horse Tavern.
