I was looking for a quiet place to have a drink and this place was just right. The drinks suggested by my waiter were excellent. Thanks for the best late night in Seattle!

Cool place for drinks.
Bartenders are great, making specialty cocktails just for you.
But the secret is to make resevations for the upstairs bar.
The only entrance is through an old bank vault door and the only way in is with a reservation, confirmed through an old phone on the wall and a click on the vault door.
Turn the vault handle and you're in.
Truly a one of a kind experience!

I had no expectations of Tavern Law before walking in. We arrive about 10pm Friday night for drinks and a small plate. I enjoyed the atmosphere, kinda vintage library feeling. Drinks were fancy from fizzs to cocktails-- not something I'm terribly well versed in but I did enjoy the Rosemary/Gin drink, and was tempted by the promise of Unicorn tears on the menu. Cheese plate was delish! Overall, cute atmosphere, low key, but did get crowded as the night went on. Three drinks and a cheese plate ran us about $60. Parking was pretty crazy.

Great local and somewhat nationally known bar and yes they have some food. If you go, try to get reservations for the secret bar upstairs (Needle and Thread). Lower level is crowded and while you can get some specialty drinks, it may not be worth the hassle of finding parking.

However, if you can score the Needle and Thread reservation, you get a bartender without a drink menu. You describe what you want or the type of liquor and taste you prefer and he makes a specialty drink. The GF was very creative and ordered a Fall and then a Winter - pretty neat. I ordered tequila and was pleasantly surprised.

I could go on and on about the amazing craft drinks here. The drink menu is stunning....they will also make you something custom based on your palates flavor profile preferences. This place could easily thrive in London, Hong Kong, NYC...Thankfully they are in my town.
