We stayed here on a recent weekend night and found this place to be just right. The location is great, a few blocks from the Space Needle, less than a mile from Lake Union and a mile from Pike's Market. There is a Whole Foods a block away.
From the outside it does not look like much but inside is very well appointed and modern. I booked a standard room but ended up with a two room suite which included a large living room with a good view of the city and Space Needle. We had our dog and she was welcomed. There is a small city park a block away which made dog walking easy. Parking is tight. The parking garage has limited space and we ended up parking on the street for the night which was fine.
Breakfast was good. I will definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the front if you want view of Space Needle

This hotel is a regular stop for me and I usually spend a week here. All remodeled, great staff and constantly working to make everything better. Yes parking is tight, hotel was built in the 60’s, think world’s fair, but it’s free. If you cannot find a space you can park across the street under a restaurant until 9 AM. I don’t know where people are staying or what they are spending to give this hotel a 1 or 2 star rating. I spend about 150 nights a year in hotels and this one is terrific.

Stayed 2 days in Seattle. Needed a suite because of 2 teenaged kids. Free parking, Whole Foods right around the corner, 15 minute walk to Pike's Market, easy for older kids, maybe harder for younger kids. Roll away bed is terrible. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

We recently stayed with my family while on a road trip to Vancouver. I chose this hotel because of the good reviews, downtown location, free parking, and the great perks of the La Quinta chain such as pet-friendly, free WiFi, free breakfast, etc. This La Quinta is one of the best I have ever stayed at. It was recently renovated so the lobby is neat and modern, even with a neat aquarium up front. The room was equally modern and sleek with a really comfortable bed, modern fixtures, double shower head, and great interior design. The breakfast was a decent spread with a lot of options. We had a great time here, then drove over to Pike place which was really close by. We will definitely stay here again!
