Description: Plenty of parking at a spacious Upscale Authentic Vietnamese Restaurant. Very romantic atmosphere and very warm ambience. You must take a look when visiting Seattle! We have a very large menu, giving you a taste of Vietnam in every aspect and we also serve beer and wine.

Don't let the neighborhood (?) stop you from pulling into Mekong Village. It is an oasis among this decaying part of Aurora.
Mekong Village is a quiet refuge of really good and authentic food. The service was impeccable and the waiter very knowledgeable about he food and the ingredients. He knew his stuff.
We ordered fresh rolls with shrimp (two large rolls for $3.50) and they were excellent and nicely presented with two dipping bowls of a spicy peanut sauce.
I ordered a steak salad and it was perfection with a sweetened rice wine vinegar dressing and fresh greens. The cost was an amazing $6.95
The menu is extensive and the prices are a lot lower for lunch than for dinner.

I passed this place many many times thinking it was another value village or something that wasn't worth visiting on aurora. On my way to work, I was stuck in a really bad traffic on wa99 which led me to stop by Mekong village for their lunch special for 5.99. The interior was absolutely beautiful to my surprise! It looked like a restaurant that belonged in downtown Seattle, but for some reason, happened to be on aurora. Their lunch special pho was a small size which came out to be like a large. The aroma of the hearty broth made me regret not coming here sooner..

3 of us dined here a few nights ago. Service was prompt and friendly. Atmosphere was calm, peaceful and pleasant. Food was fantastic. Price was not inexpensive, but a good value considering the entire package. We will definitely return to explore other menu choices!

Mekong Village has all the well-known Vietnamese dishes and some regional varieties as well. Try their Bun bowls of bar-b-qued meat, shrimp and eggrolls with fresh veggies and noodles. They have a good selection of vegetarian food, so ask if you don't see it on the menu (they cater to a local Buddhist temple). We love the Vietnamese Shrimp, Bun Rieu and Duck noodle soups, any of the trays with roll your own veggies, meat, seafood (shrimp on sugar cane, turmeric cod, etc.), and their stir-fried noodle dishes. Restaurant is always clean, food high-quality, staff friendly & helpful, and you feel welcomed as you walk into the door. Try something you've never had before and you'll be pleasantly surprised!
