Stayed here overnight when seeing a concert at Key Arena. It was within easy walking distance to the Arena, Seattle Center, more. The staff is friendly and accommodating. They have bright yellow bicycles for guest use- fun! There is a restaurant/bar off the lobby. Everything you could need.

We stayed at the Maxwell for our daughters graduation from SPU. We really liked the location for both seeing downtown and for access to other things like SPU. You can easily walk to the Space Needle and we also walked to Pikes Place Market (1.5 miles one way). Like all Seattle hotels, it is not cheap. Our room was clean and bigger than most. Staff was friendly. Good restaurants are within close walking distance. Dinky pool and no hot tub which was a disappointment. No continental breakfast. Nice big shower and sink area which was nice since we had 4 adults in the room.

We stayed a night on the week-end here. Everything about this hotel is super cute, and not in the 'stuff animal kind of way'. It's decorated with bright, colourful and fun furniture. Everything about this place screams welcoming but non-pretentious. It's in a really good location, with free parking, free wifi, and clean large suites. There's also a pool, but we didn't go to it so I'm not sure how great that is. If you plan on checking out the sights in the Lower Queens area, such as the Chihuly Museum or the Space Needle, you should stay here.

Nice touches:
- complimentary coffee and cupcakes in the lobby
- complimentary bottled water and keurig coffee in the suites
- microwave and mini fridge in the suite
- bikes to borrow
- great smelling soap

Cons:
-we heard someone jack hammering at 8:30 a.m. from our room. Not a big deal because we had to get up anyways, but this might be an issue if you want to sleep in. Or ask for a room as far away from the construction as possible.

Thank you for this wonderful review. It truly made me smile! We definitely aim to please. I'm sorry about the construction in the area but luckily they are finished in the area right in front of the hotel. Great sleep is now here!

This is by far one of the most comfortable stays we have ever experienced at a hotel in a larger city. Everything was top notch and the staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this hotel and will stay again!

The title says it all! We couldn't have picked a better hotel for our first trip to Seattle. The moment I saw the pictures on the website I knew I had to stay here. From the outside, the hotel looks like a run of the mill hotel, but as soon as you walk in the door you can tell it is different. The decor is very modern, which I love. Chandeliers everywhere, color changing lights, mirrors, fireplaces, leather covered seats and foot rests. The reviews that say there are no faults are completely true. The staff is wonderful and does everything they can to make sure that you have a great stay. They say hello every time you walk in and out of the front door, they will set up the FREE shuttle that takes you to the major attractions (EXCEPT the airport & pier 91 cruise ship terminal).

We arrived almost 6 hours early (a little after 10:00 AM, and the checkin time is 4:00 PM). They obviously didn't have our room ready since the other guests were still not even checked out yet. They told us that we would have to wait an hour and a half for our room since we were early. But they also expedited it and made sure our room was the one to get cleaned soonest so we could get in. After making sure we had everything we needed for the wait like drinks and what not, the front staff went back to doing their thing. After about 30 minutes, they came back over by the fireplace where we were sitting, and let us know that they were upgrading us to a king room with a view, which ended up being one of the most expensive rooms they have. It was on the corner of the building which gave us a corner windows which are one of my favorite architectural features ever.

Not to mention, while waiting, we got to use the FREE wifi.

The rooms are extremely nice. Wood floors, which some people complain are too loud, but I love the elegant look they bring. Great paint color schemes, modern furniture, big tv with lots of HD channels, DVD player, Keurig coffee pot, usual alarm clock. The bathrooms are just as nice as the rest of the room with all nice tile, black granite countertops, lotions, soaps and shampoo & conditioner despisers for you to use. Our upgraded room had the full shower and separate jacuzzi bathtub.

Every afternoon they have free coffee and cupcakes which are very good I must say.

The restaurant, The Rock, attached to the restaurant has mixed reviews from other people and we didn't have an amazing time either. My burger was great but the others in our group had undercooked meat on their sandwiches and pizza that the dough was undercooked even after asking for it to be taken back and put in longer. I would probably try it again but we didn't have time.

The locations isn't amazing but its very close to the Space Needle and the attractions around it. The shuttle can pretty much take you everywhere else you want to go or you can take an UberX for a pretty cheap ride.

People complain because there is no spa or room service but neither matter to me because room service is usually overpriced and spas aren't really my thing. There isn't really much for kids to do though except they do have a pool.

Overall, I highly suggest the Maxwell Hotel and would definitely stay here again in a heartbeat!

There is something really rare and amazing about this hotel: It is actually better than the photos and reviews! From the moment you walk in, you are just blown away by the hotel, decor, and customer service. The room was the nicest I have ever had the pleasure of staying in with fridge, microwave, Keurig, fitted sheets on the bed and plenty of shampoo, conditioner, soap etc. My only complaint is that I can't move in. Also this hotel is one of only 2 hotels in Seattle that has FREE parking available. I highly recommend to everyone and will go back and stay again. I may visit Seattle just to stay at this hotel again.

We took the train to Seattle from Portland, the hotel staff said to call when we were at the stop just before the station and they would see if the car was available to pick us up (the station is a bit out of their usual driving area due to frequent heavy traffic and crowds, it's right next to the sports stadium.) Luck was with us and the friendly young driver picked us up right away The hotel lobby gives a really nice impression, it's so spacious, clean and well appointed. A small bar sits in one corner, a restaurant at one end and an espresso cart next to the desk. The front desk is friendly and as helpful as can be. Our room was larger than I expected with comfortable beds and pillows and a small refrig. The usual appointments were available, hair dryer, flat screen, water, coffee maker etc. The Space needle and all of the attractions in that area such as the Chahuly museum (sorry about that spelling) are just a couple of blocks away as is the mono rail for other destinations. We are walkers though so we wandered to Pike Street Market for some touristy fun, a distance of maybe 2 miles. The overall impression of our trip is very favorably colored by our stay at the Maxwell.
