We chose the Maxwell because we were going to a concert at the Key Arena and wanted to be in walking distance. Having 2 Qn Beds were also important because we had the kids along. The hotel was very clean and visually appealing. The use of colors and different textures was very nice to see. Check in was quick. They have a parking garage so you don't need to worry about on-street parking or valet. They also have a pool, but we didn't have time to look at it. The room was nice, not overly large, or cramped. It had a flat screen tv and a Kuerig coffee maker. There was free coffee in the lobby (and cupcakes) so we didn't use the coffee maker. The bathroom had a tiled shower in it (no tub, but I'm not a bath taker anyway). There was a single sink, but the counter was big. We had reservations for both dinner and breakfast the next morning so we did not utilize the pub/restaurant located in the lobby. I did not look at the menu to see what type of food it offered but I'm sure it was good. I don't have anything bad to say about the hotel, it was a very good stay and the price was very reasonable for Seattle. I would definitely stay again.

We were in Seattle to attend a concert at Key Arena/Seattle Center.( Two adults and two teenagers) Hotel is easy walking distance to the arena, so nice not to drive, checked in and parked the car for the night.(free) Rock pizza and bar attached which was great for dinner before the concert. The decor is unique and refreshing (We loved all the different colors and textures) such a nice break from the usual chain hotel and the rooms are spacious with comfy beds! We had everything we needed. Looking forward to a return trip....oh and the mini cupcake were yummy! (pineapple and coconut)

Room Tip: View of the Space Needle available

We spent a night here as part of trip to Seattle and BC but were here to see Muse at the Key Arena. We arrived really early but the lovely helpful lady at the desk said there was a room available so didn't have to wait. The room was really cool and modern, we didn't have a great view but to be honest we weren't really there for that. The free coffee and muffins in the afternoon were a lovely surprise as was the Restaurant below the hotel in which we eat lunch and dinner! Check in and out was painless and we had a really good sleep after our concert with no noise from our fellow rowdy Muse fans in the adjoining rooms. All in all a great place to stay and a great location for the Seattle Centre. Would definitely stay here again! Thanks!

Clair J,

We’re so happy to read that you enjoyed a peaceful night sleep after the concert despite a few rowdy guests who wanted to continue the party in the hotel. We take our noise complaints seriously and were happy that when we did have to intervene and remind guests to honor the quiet hours, they did so with no hesitation.

Thank you for posting your review to TripAdvisor. We’re thankful that you left future guests the information that will hopefully help them decide on The Maxwell Hotel when coming to town for concerts at the Key Arena.

Please visit us again the next time you are in Seattle.

Regards,
Tyler

Very nice, reasonably priced hotel with free parking (in their garage) included, conveniently located near restaurants, grocery store, Seattle Center. Great views of the Space Needle. Large rooms, comfortable beds. The attached restaurant (The Rock) has great pizza. Every staff member we interacted with during our 3 night stay was extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel is very dog friendly, and provided a super comfy dog bed, bowl, and doggie bags in a easy-to-dispense container. The hotel is on the edge of a residential area, which made it really nice and easy for walking the dog. I enjoyed the pool, although a hot tub would have been appreciated, too. It was great to have a small refrigerator, microwave, and Keurig machine in the room. We also used the Starbucks in the lobby. Very nice, welcoming lobby space. Last, but certainly not least, the mini pineapple cupcakes provided in the lobby every afternoon are fabulous! :-)

The location of the hotel is good. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk from the monorail and space needle. The staff is really friendly and helpful. Free parking was a plus. However, our TV didn't work on our last night/day because they were doing upgrades to the system.

Sher808,

Thank you for your review. We’re happy that you found our hotel to be a very nice place to stay.

In an effort to continually improve our guest experience, we upgraded all of our TV’s to allow for HD programming. We do apologize that, for parts of your last day, the TV was not working correctly. This project is now complete and our televisions are broadcasting in BEAUTIFUL 1080p HD.

We assure you that when you stay with us next, you will be very happy with the televisions, as well as everything else! We look forward to seeing you again.

Your friend in hospitality,
Tyler
