Preparing only traditional food from Piedmonte, this restaurant is a gem. I have dined at Spinasse on special occasions and when I was just in the mood for a great meal. The staff is nothing short of lovely and the menu offers fresh truffle shavings when they are in season - do not pass this opportunity up!

It was pouring rain out the night we ate dinner at Spinasse in the Capitol Hill area of Seattle...we were cold and damp but our spirits lifted as soon as we sat down. Service was great, our server made some great recommendations from the menu. The food was truly amazing, we ordered the Antipasto Misto to start which gave us a bite of all of the appies, delicious. The Tajarin and Tagliatelle pastas were fresh, light and incredibly good. We ordered some vegetables to go with our meal and they were flavourful and worked so well with the pastas that we were sharing "family style". Can't wait to go back and try the other dishes. Highly recommend Spinasse.

Great little cozy restaurant worth going to if visiting Seattle. They serve rustic northern Italian dishes (family style). Highly recommend the anchovies to start - great dish! Found it highly entertaining sitting at the bar and watching the kitchen all night, including someone making fresh pasta. Good value.

Don't miss out on this treat to the senses. From the warm welcome, vibrant atmosphere, friendly & knowledgable staff to the delicious food & wine selection - you won't be disappointed!

Didn't recognize a lot of the wines, but our server did and recommended the perfect pairing for the antipasto sampler we shared as an appetizer, followed by pork loin & linguini in sage butter. All dishes were simple, but delicious - ingredients & garnish not over done. If we'd had time, we definitely would have gone back for a second visit.

Parking can be difficult & expensive, so recommend walking to the restaurant, a taxi or public transport (which we thought was very good - didn't use our rental car on town at all).

My husband and I have eaten here before and ate here twice on our 5 day trip this time. Neither time did we have reservations and it wasn't a problem getting a seat at the bar. Our first night our server was excellent and friendly and made some excellent suggestions. Everything we ate was delicious. Our second visit we also sat at the bar and the restaurant was dead. Our server could have cared less that we were there, offered no specials and was extremely unwelcoming. We sampled lots of dishes and a nice bottle of wine but his service definately put a damper on the dinner. Enjoy open kitchen and watching them make pasta

Liked: or should I say LOVE tagarin al ragu, panna cotta with roasted cauliflower - seriously try it, open kitchen

Disliked: service one night, cold panna cotta (but they replaced it with a warm one)
