After long day walking around downtown Seattle, we booked the hour long bay tour on Argosy Cruises. We were glad to get off of our feet and enjoy the views of the city and bay. Tour guide on the boat was very well-spoken and gave us lots of interesting information about the city. Definitely recommend taking the cruise. Great way to relax after a long day walking around the city.

We were headed to the Washington State Ferry's when we were approached by an Argosy rep offering half priced one hour tour. We accepted. We paid $34 two adults and two children.

The boat itself is not dirty yet does not feel clean. There are three decks. There are no elevators. The first level does not have good vantage points. The second level was where the guide was on his mic, in addition where the food/drink bar is. In all there were around 50 other passengers most on the second tier. Had there been more bodies the room would have felt cramped leaving some without window seats or views. The third deck is best of all. (The boat is sensitive to wakes from larger boats, be aware there is some unsteadiness).

As for the tour. There were numerous suggestions by the guide to eat at the restaurants on the pier, spend money on attractions, most of the first 15 minutes was sales pitches. Afterward we were told tidbits about landmarks as we passed them. Noteworthy items such as where MTV filmed a reality show, where locals rope their boats, an erosion that caused dozens of homes into the sound. Had the guy speaking had better timing or decent material he could have been entertaining. He did not so most of what he was saying was just noise taking away from the views. The captain seemed as boring. She came on the speaker to ask whoever was feeding the pigeons to stop before we all regretted it...she failed to elaborate why we all would. She was not rude really or mean. Later she reminded us a couple times about snacks available for purchase & as we were returning tipping the host was appreciated.

For half price for a couple people for an hour not bad. For more than two people a bargain in price, service, experience is taking a Washington State Ferry, IMO.

We took the Argosy Harbor Tour (1 hour long) shortly after arriving in Seattle. Boarding was very easy and efficient. We found lawnchair seats on the second level outside, which was the perfect location because the wind was blowing that day, but not so much on the second level front of the boat. The narrator on the tour was both entertaining and informative. He pointed out many different buildings and other sites of interest along the shoreline, and, told humorous stories about Seattle's history along the way. There were many different photo opportunities and this 1 hour tour was a perfect way to begin our stay in Seattle.

We took the the 2.5 hour tour of Seattle Harbor and found it really enjoyable. The Staff was very friendly and the tour guide was very knowledgeable. We were able to upgrade to the lock tour for only 10.00 extra from our city tour which added some entertainment.
