“Runs around Green Lake”
Reviewed November 30, 2013 via mobile

Inspirational, great people watching venue with dogs on leashes everywhere, an abundance of waterfowl and of course the full array of recreational activities - indoor and outdoor swimming, roller skating, running, biking, rowing, golf, frisbee, basketball, soccer, skate boarding park, baseball, tennis, and walking. What comes to mind at Green Lake are flashes of Central Park, Golden Gate Park and the Chicago Lake Front in a Grant Parl.

“Walk around and get dizzy”
Reviewed November 25, 2013

Green Lake is a big lake, where you can walk along a cemented trail that runs along the lake, and stop and a coffee shop on the street side if you want to. You'll find jiggers, bikers, and people with dogs. It is a busy place and worth at least one visit if you are in Seattle. During summer there is a place for the children to play in the water, and even jet skies, at times.

“A Great Park in the Heart of the City”
Reviewed November 25, 2013

Green Lake is a beautiful park to visit with your family. Have a picnic, take a stroll, ride a bike or hike. Walk amongst the fall foliage in October, it is a quiet get-away in the heart of the city.

“Where locals enjoy the day”
Reviewed November 25, 2013

Greenlake is an inner-city park around a beautiful lake. There is a jogging/walking/skating/biking loop tightly around the lake. It's 2.8 miles, so even if you're in for a casual stroll you can do the entire lake in less than an hour. You can also rent canoes, kayaks and paddle boats (no motorized boats allowed). There are swimming beaches on both sides of the lake, an indoor pool, tons of picnic spaces, tennis courts, sports fields. A lot of restaurants and coffee shops line one side of the park, including, of course, a decent Starbucks. A great place to unwind and soak up some authentic Seattle.
