“Great place for a run”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 16, 2013

One of my favorite places in Seattle during the summer as you can run, kayak or simply people watch. It is centrally located around some of Seattle's most popular neighborhoods which means you have plenty of food options around you!

“Too many runners!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 16, 2013

A lovely little park to walk around but only if you don't mind dodging or having other people dodge you as they run around pushing prams or leading dogs. A peaceful place for a stroll it is not during daytime hours! That said, find a quiet corner and sit on one of the many benches, and on a warm late summer day it's a good place to be.

“Beatiful- in my top 5 places to walk/run”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 12, 2013

Green Lake Park is the kind of place that you wish was down the street from your house. The distance is about 3 miles around a lake with many activities available for all ages, The trees are very majestic (and labeled so that you know what you are seeing). With ample restaurants located nearby, you can picnic, walk, bike or jog. And, if your mind isn't at ease when you leave Green Lake, it may never be. A wonderful, serene place that we return to time after time when in Seattle. About 15 minutes from downtown, its worth the trip for an early morning workout before enjoying the rest of Seattle.

“Lovely even when cold/Dress Warm”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 10, 2013

I went in the persistent rain and had a ball. The ducks were
glorious, plentiful, talkative. Went to a nearby friend's house
and watched ducks waggle, eat, swim-- loved the big
Canada geese.

“What a Gem!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 10, 2013

Green Lake is an amazing gem in the middle of Seattle's North End. Swimming, boating, walking, biking, running, playing ... are take place here. In addition to the 3-mile trail around the lake, there is a theatre, two bathhouses, a recreation center with gyms, pool, and playground, and, at the other end of the lake, a boathouse. Pl;us, it's right next door to the Zoo and Woodland Park. VERY popular place. And, of course, there are special events from time to time.
