“Do the circuit - 2.3 miles”
Reviewed November 18, 2012

Jog, walk, roller blade, bike, whatever - this is the place to get your exercise and watch everyone else getting fit along with you. Just don't expect to find a parking place anywhere close on a busy summer evening.

“What a great green space!”
Reviewed November 18, 2012

I was visiting family in Seattle, and we went for a 3 mile walk around this lake. The paved trail was wide and fairly flat, and well used! There were all kinds of people, with all kinds of wheels, and dogs, and kids, etc. just enjoying the day. The fall color was awesome on that day, and we even had a little bit of sun! We saw some street entertainers, and a painter recreating the colorful landscape. A very enjoyable morning, I can see why the locals love it!

“Best urban park west of NY's Central Park”
Reviewed November 17, 2012

Green Lake Park is a natural lake that is circled by a combo walking/biking/running path about 3 miles long. It also encompasses plenty of green space, children's playground, public swimming pool, and even a pitch and putt 9-hole golf course. You can launch your own kayak/canoe into the lake, or rent several styles of water craft. Nearby restaurants, cafes, coffe shops, and ice cream joints make this a great way to get out and see the Seattle "natives" on a sunny day while enjoying a little exercise yourself.

“Always good for a run”
Reviewed November 16, 2012

Great running path around the lake. Greenlake is a Seattle fixture. It can get very crowded on sunny weekend days and there are some aggressive wheels (roller-bladers and surfboards on wheels), so keep a close eye on dogs and run against the wheel traffic to avoid being surprised.
