“What a gem!”
Reviewed September 17, 2012

We have lived here 6 years and just recently discovered this wonderful park! There is a trail all the way around for children to scooter or bike or walk, and lots of interesting things to see. In the summer, they have two different swimming areas, and both have platforms in the water for the children to swim out to and jump off diving boards. My kids adored this park. We also met a family who tie a special cable between two trees and walk across it, and they offered my children to have a turn. It was very kind and generous, and very fun! You need to try this park!

“Beautiful & relaxing on a sunny day!”
Reviewed September 13, 2012

We rented a paddleboat ($17/hour) on a sunny Saturday afternoon, and it was a highlight of our summer! Just leisurely paddled around the outer edges of the lake, watching joggers, bikers, skaters circle the lake; stopped to watch kids diving off the high and low dives in the swimming area; visited the tiny, hidden island covered in trees but accessible by boat. You can also rent stand-up paddle boards, sailboats, and kayaks here in the summer. Big lawns welcome frisbee and soccer players, and a basketball court gets good usage, too. Definitely a sweet spot in Seattle!

“Our favorite park in Seattle”
Reviewed September 12, 2012

This is one of the places we keep going back to. You can stroll, jog or bike around the lake on nice paths and enjoy the view or just sit and people watch. Always a friendly atmosphere and good places to eat/drink nearby.

“Nice day activity”
Reviewed September 11, 2012

On a sunny day you can walk ,run, or whatever on a 3 mile path around the lake. On a really nice day it may be a bit crowded though.

“Easy place to exerices and people watch”

You never know what cause or class you will see around Green Lake. It's a flat, easy path, and no matter the time of year, you are bound to see something interesting while you are walking.
