We generally just pass though most of the center on our way to one place or another. but the food court is a good place to catch a bite, the fountain to enjoy the water or just walk around and look at all the people and sites.

Great place to walk, read a book or relax. There are restaurants, museums and other activities, plus the Space Needle!

Love the Seattle Center. I truly is a place where everybody can find some entertainment. Several theaters are here. The Pacific Northwest Ballet and the Opera. Just strolling around and people watching. The silly but fun Monorail. The Experience Music Project. The Science Fiction Museum. Assorted festivals, there was an Arab festival this weekend when we visited. We have also run into Asian, South American, and others.

You can't really not see Seattle Center on a visit to the city not least because the city skyline is dominated by Space Needle which is part of the Center, so is Chihuly Gardens, rightly consistently voted the top attraction in the city - though with a price to match.

Many things are free though - you can see much of the inside architecture of the movie and rock music museum by visting the cafe and gift shop. The Armory is free and there are lots of free outdoor concerts on the lawn outside the Pacific Science Center. The opera house is also open on performance days and has a very impressive glass frontage and foyer. The ballet theatre is between the opera house and the several other theatres on the site including one dedicated for children.

One of the City Pass tickets will cut your costs by around a half if you planning to see more than three of the attractions and it will also get you into the zoo and Museum of flight both some distaince away

The weekend that we went there was a festival on, so it was crowded to say the least. There was a pretty sweet fountain and I wish that I had gone inside the Chihuly Exhibition, the friend I was with had gone the day before and raved about it but schedule did not permit for me to go inside.
I also didn't go up the space needle, but it was pretty cool to see.
