“Very good place for a relaxed hike”
Reviewed March 23, 2014

Enjoy the trip here, so many large old or lovely green plants from all over the world, with full blooming flowers and trees, where near to the Foster Island and Union Bay. A very good place for a relaxed hike.

“Fantastic”
Reviewed March 3, 2014

This is a lovely arboretum, with wonderfully old plantings of every kind. Special treats are a visit in spring for the fabulous rhododendrons and azaleas and a visit to the Japanese garden.

“Nice place to visit!”
Reviewed February 11, 2014

It's beautiful year-round, but if it's not winter when you visit make sure you don't miss the breathtaking Japanese gardens on the southern side! They are fantastic!

“always a nice visit”
Reviewed February 11, 2014

This park is great, and free. There are nice collections of plants, grouped by family. Elms, apples, rhododendrons, etc. But, the whole park isn't so formal. There are a lot of trails where you feel like you are just taking a nice walk in the woods, and there are also some trails out along the water that are really nice for bird watching. This place is worth a visit at multiple times of the year.
