Beautiful Japanese garden that's not very large. My family liked it, as did everyone else taking selfies.

Why not make it a double header and visit it, the new trail east of the road, and the Japanese Garden on the west side of the road.

Gorgeous scenery, calm environment, peaceful and serene. It's a delight to visit in this day and age of stress, rush and technology. Just take a step back, put your phone away, and enjoy the beauty of nature and some fresh air.

We only spent about an hour here but we would've stayed longer if we had time! The fall colors were absolutely amazing- great place for a hike or picnic. Even just driving around the perimeter is worth it to see the beauty! We walked down to a little area near the water and it was so peaceful. If we lived in Seattle, I think we'd be there all the time. We parked near the Graham Visitor's Center on a beautiful Saturday and it was packed - we were lucky we found a spot! Not sure what other parking options they offer...

If you're like me in preferring transit it's easy to get to. There's a couple of different buses that run down 24th Ave E or E Madison St. When done you can head North to the university district/ West to Fremont/Ballard or South/West to get to Capitol Hill and downtown.

Highly recommend spending a few walking around the West section paths before crossing the pedestrian bridge over Lake Washington Blvd--it's quiet with few people.

Main park was a great way to stretch the legs. Doing the full loop gives plenty of options along fully paved, graveled or dirt paths. Treed or fully sun exposed-- all up to you with plenty of veer off options if you find it getting crowded (I didn't).

The park is a short distance from the hustle and bustle of city live and is surprisingly peaceful. We visited during azalea season and the scents and colors were gorgeous. The walk through the park was quiet and beautiful. Parking and much of the park admission was free unless you wanted to visit the Japanese gardens.

Being in Seattle can be loud and congested, Having a place like the Arboretum to use as a pleasant and calming interlude is a real joy. The landscaping and more open spaces were delightful, but special kudos go to the designers of the Japanese Gardens. What a job they have done! The Japanese Garden is about an hour visit, and is well worth the modest price of admission.

The arboretum is beautiful and best of all free of charge for admission and parking. We were there on a rainy day and it was still great.

This place was such a nice break from the city views and wasn't too far from the city. We had the most peaceful walk and stopped at the Japanese Garden across the street at the bottom of the arboretum and that was absolutely amazing and work the $8.

This is an incredibly beautiful park. We went on lovely October day! The variety of trees was amazing, with all the bright colors. We will be back here many times! Wonderful place for lovely walks. Biking also! Awesome!
