You can tell that these zookeepers love their animals! Lots of docents on hand to give info; really good homes for the animals that are clean, well maintained, and have things to keep the animals engaged. Get there for the feelings for an even better experience.

The most natural habitats in a zoo I've ever seen. Beautiful natural surroundings... Clean and well maintained. We spent almost the entire day here and truly enjoyed. I would definitely recommend!

The Woodland Park zoo is large and holds many animals. It is kind of a pain to get to, especially if you are coming from the south, as traffic tends to be bad over the bridge toward the north. It has several options for food, but I believe they let you bring in snacks. Both my son and I enjoy going here when we can. If you have kids and are looking for a good way to spend an afternoon, this place would be it.

Food, fun, unique habitats, and, of course, animals. Wonderful zoo to frequent. Very clean bathrooms. Interesting parking. A good place to go out in the sunshine and enjoy the various fauna.

We visited the zoo last month when we visited Seattle. It was a wonderful learning experience! The staff were knowledgeable and helpful. We were there on a cold and drizzly day and saw an amazing number of animals. The habitats (from rainforest to savanah) have been created to be very natural and also allow visitors many closeup views of the animals. Our experience was that we saw more animals than we have at other zoos. A good job is done teaching about and supporting conservation efforts around the world. If you want to learn, the opportunity is there for you to do just that.
The baby giraffe is quite a big boy.
Would highly recommend and will return on another visit to Seattle.
