Owner description: From industrial sludge to family fun: this urban park features an industrial plant-turned kiddie play area as well as a beautiful lake and picnic area.

Unique park not far from downtown Seattle. Only thing that would've made it more enjoyable would have been if the structures would be open to the public (not fenced in and overgrown with weeds). Not necessarily to climb, just to be able to walk around or walk under.
Otherwise, great views of downtown Seattle with tons of people flying kites, running, walking, etc. on a nice day.

Great views of Downtown Seattle! The park is an awesome contrast of peacefulness mixed in with abandoned machinery. The whole thing is beautiful.

I decided to visit Gas Works Park after stopping at the Fremont Troll. I was in for a treat! It was the only part of the day when it wasn't raining, and that provided me with ample photo opportunities. What a view of the Seattle skyline! Definitely worth the 10-15 minute walk from the troll through some neighborhoods to the park. Probably the second best view in Seattle that I saw (behind Kerry Park).

I like how the old gas pipes are now part of the park and the scenery; it creates quite a contrast with the scenic views of the city. It seems like it would be a great place to go with family or friends on a sunny day!

Relaxing and unique park. The old gas work equipment makes the place unusual and serves as historical artefacts. Great place for kite flying.

Gas Works is always a great spot for a picnic. Lots of fun for family and just soaking up the sunshine! Yes. We do have sunshine in Seattle.
