EverGreen Escapes took care of every little detail from on time transportation to Mt. St. Helens to interesting mini-hikes along the way, to gourmet healthy lunch at the base of the mountain, to interesting and insightful "ranger talks" by Brendan, our host and guide for the all day tour. Highly recommend these "off the beaten track" adventures and now know what a Pillated Woodpecker looks like.

My wife and I really enjoyed the Woodinville Wine Tour and look forward to taking our out-fo-state family on the wine tour when they come to visit. The wineries of Puget Sound are unique in their atmosphere, business structure and location which gives them a novel feeling that my wife and I found both unexpected and marvelous. Thank you for broadening our horizons and showing us the best of the Woodinville wineries! We recommend Evergreen Escapes.

Thank you for this review!

We know there are many options to choose from when people are choosing who to travel with. Therefore a positive review is read very carefully and celebrated by our whole team. A positive review from a local carries some additional weight because a local typically has more time to review the options available, they likely have visited the destinations previously, and in the end, a local often feels confident just driving themselves - thus saving money.

This feedback from a local is significant as we are one of the few tour companies that operate a large menu of tours year round and we see the percentage of locals and private / corporate groups increase when the main travel season (summer) starts to wane. By highlighting the educational aspects of our tour and that it broadened your horizons, offers a case why a local, as well as a visitor, will find our tours both enjoyable and enriching.

We would be honored to have your family accompany you on a future tour. Thank you for making that recommendation - it really means a lot to us!

I went on a North Cascades tour in September, and it was a very enjoyable experience. Our tour guide Tyler was very friendly and also very knowledgeable about the area and its flora/fauna. The itinerary included a couple of easy hikes of varying durations (during which Tyler would frequently point out plants of specific interest and describe their unique characteristics), and a few other stops (including one with incredible views of Lake Diablo and the surrounding mountains). The van we travelled in was quite comfortable.

The one aspect that was slightly disappointing was the food. I had pre-informed that I was a vegetarian but surprisingly there was no veggie replacement provided for the main lunch item, and I had to lunch off just the salad. Freshly brewed tea provided in the morning was a nice touch though.

That being said, the main purpose of the trip was to take in the natural beauty, which there was plenty of, and the tour guide also did a great job of showing us around. So I would not hesitate to recommend Evergreen Escapes to others, and would readily go on another tour organized by them in the future. Wishlist item: I would have found it even more fun if the hikes had taken more exposed routes with viewpoints, though I understand that they may be more strenuous and thus be infeasible in a general tour.

Thank you for sharing feedback about your recent tour to North Cascades National Park. It is very helpful for us to hear how we are doing (both positive and constructive) as well as have an opportunity to comment for the benefit for future travelers.

Overall it appears that you got a lot out of this tour - which is wonderful to hear! You highlight exactly what we are striving for out of our tours: very knowledgable guides, beautiful scenery, active but not too strenuous activity, and the amenities such as hot tea. We are used to also being able to read wonderful reviews about our food since we are one of the few local tour companies to cater our full day tours. Unfortunately, due to our error, we did not come through this time.

It is very common for us to have vegetarians on our programs and typically we provide a distinct non-meat entree to serve along with the rest of the meal. We are not always made aware when there are vegetarians and in rare cases (like this one) our caterer makes an error in reading the order. For both reasons we choose a menu that is less meat focused then typical tour food in order to have substantial food for many diets. For example, although we serve chicken breast or salmon (wild) for the entree, we also serve both a green salad AND a hearty grain salad - usually with Quinoa (a complete protein) and possibly with a legume as well. I confirmed with the guide for the day that we indeed did have both types of salad available. Still, we take pride in being able to welcome many dietary preferences / needs on our tours and this feedback reminds us to get us closer to fail safe.

Our goal is to not just have a menu that can fill you up, but to present the culinary richness of our region - including organic and local ingredients prepared in creative ways. It is very common for locals to eat lower on the food chain, even if they also eat meat, and we have numerous non-meat entrees that showcase this aspect of our cuisine. I regret that this was not better reflected on this tour and I apologize to you for this oversight.

Again, I appreciate you bringing this to our attention. We would be honored to have you back on a tour with us again in the future - with a guarantee to have a well prepared non-meat entree.

While in Seattle, my husband and I wanted to take a trip to see Mount St Helens. We booked a small group tour with Evergreen Escapes. As it turned out, my husband and I were the only passengers that day, so we got a very personalized tour. Our guide was Brendan and he was fantastic. He has a degree in biology and he told us about a lot of the plant and animal life we saw. On the trip to Mount St Helens, we made a couple short stops. Once there, we spent a bit of time watching one of the films available and getting some photos from one of the observation view points. We were there at the right time, actually, because there were some area fires and the smoke - which was very plentiful - started obscuring the mountain shortly after we arrived.

After we left there, we stopped and had a picnic lunch - which was very good, then we went for a 2 1/2 mile hike at the hummocks and got some more wonderful views of the mountain and learned more about the eruption. It was just amazing. Once again, Brendan was a fantastic guide and quite knowledgeable about the area and the flora and fauna.

We definitely recommend EverGreen Escapes. We'll definitely book more tours with them on our next trip to Seattle.

The tour guide (Josalyn) made this trip wonderful. Very warm and knowledgeable. A lot of fun.
We were the only two people that signed up on the morning our cruise left and the tour was not cancelled like some companies do. We had our first private tour ever and spent quality time exploring Seattle hitting all the highlights as advertised and spending more time in places we loved such as the "P" gardens (a beautiful individualized community garden where no chemicals are allowed) , the locks with seals feeding on salmon, and the old town. Even stopped for coffee in a local popular place. She arranged the sequence so that she could drop us off at the pier instead of going all the way back to the Westin Hotel for a big bus cruise ship shuttle. Fresh snacks and drinks were also available.
