“Small Aquarium, Fairly Pricey Ticket”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 2, 2013

I'm not a big fan of aquariums in general but one rainy day in Seattle and friend and I stopped in for a short visit.

The aquarium is small but has some nice exhibits. I particularly liked the domed room where you can sit and watch the fish and sea animals all around you. I felt sorry for the seals as their habitat seemed too small for animals of their size.

There are exhibits that children seemed to like where they could touch the sea animals in a touch pool. They also had feedings and an educational show in the big tank near the entrance with a diver.

If you have some time to spare, a trip to aquarium might be in order, especially if it is rainy. The aquarium is in the Miner's Landing area and there are shops and restaurants close by. I did think the price was high for the size of the aquarium.

“Love the otters!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 31, 2013

Just the right amount to enjoy with kids - educational, hands-on, entertaining and fun! We loved watching the sea otters - very active and great to watch. Touched sea stars and anemones and watched a giant octopus. Not too big, but very informative and complete. Great place to visit with all kids - our 13 yr old and 8 yr old both liked it!

“So hands on!”

If you like to go to aquariums, this one offers a wide variety of wildlife found just off the coast of Washington! Located by the Seattle Waterfront, views of the amazing Puget Sound are in view. My favorite part was when we saw the new baby seal! So cute!!! It's best to go around 1 pm- 3 pm because the sea lions are being fed, and they do tricks.

“Nice aquarium”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 23, 2013

This was a nice aquarium. I had heard that an hour or two would be enough time and I found that to be true for our family. The main building is nice, but not too big. The area with the sea lions and otters was great. We ended up seeing the sea lions right at feeding time so we saw them eating and doing tricks which was a great treat!

The staff is really great. They spoke to myself and my four year old daughter and taught us a lot about the animals!! It was really interesting and informative while being fun at the same time.

Enjoyed our visit, but not a place to spend a whole afternoon. Great location because you can grab a bite to eat or walk around and shop at Pike Place Market before or after your visit.
