Owner description: Seattle’s “must see” is now a “must do” following the Space Needle’s multimillion-dollar renovation. Glide onto The Loupe, the world’s first and only rotating glass floor, for never-before-seen views of the structure and the city. Lean into tilting glass walls on the open-air deck and float over Seattle on one of 24 angled Skyriser glass benches. Sip and sample the Pacific Northwest’s best while savoring the thrilling views. The future. Now open.

When we got to the top two weeks ago there was a local rock station broadcasting music and a news crew was there to capture clips from allegedly a local band performance on the roof. There is great local microbrews $erved and we found it crowded but a lot of fun. We we're really lucky to have great weather, July is the best time to go for viewing. Don't forget to look southeast up there, at 14,000 feet elevation the majestic stratovolcano 'Mount Rainier' can be seen sometimes towering through the clouds 54 miles away. The Chihuly Garden and Glass exhibit is right there at the Space Needle too, we could see his brilliant works of stunning glass right from the entrance lines, so we opted not to pay the separate fee. Give yourself at least a couple hrs.

We visited on a weekend so there were lines of course. The wait ended up being about 25 minutes which wasn't unbearable. When we went to purchase our tickets, we were informed that if we were eating in the restaurant we would've been able to go up to the viewing deck without any additional fee. As we had just eaten, we paid the $19 per adult entrance fee. The views are great but the security fencing obscures the views in photos. It gets pretty windy so remember to bring a sweater or jacket if you wish to go outside, even in warmer weather! The architecture is great and has been maintained well. Undoubtedly it was very advanced for 1962 but the history still makes it relevant today.

An easy walk from the Marriott Waterfront. We arrived early by 9 and received substantial early bird discount. Enjoyed spectacular view without many visitors. My recommendation is go early!

It was a beautiful, sunny day when we visited the Space Needle - and the place was crowded. I'm not sure if they limit the number of visitors, but it seemed too crowded when we were there. Maybe it was just the noise level inside at the top...but after looking around outside, i was ready to go somewhere less crowded.
