First time at a hostel solo. Great location! Free breakfast! Nice roommates. Workers were ok. Love that this hostel has activities to do together as a hostel group and each day is different! (i.e. Pub Crawl one day, Volunteer Park another, and so forth). I don't think I would of gone to go to bars/clubs as a solo person in another state/country, but with a hostel group and a Seattle resident as a guide, I totally went for it and was a great experience AND went to about 5 different bars!! AMAZING!!! Everyone should try it!!! Worth the money, experience, and time!!

Room tip: free breakfast, eight or six beds, restroom, common area, smoke room, windows, lock storage, activities, pub crawl, park, personal fan

Stayed here for a short overnight concert trip. Flew in from AK, took lightrail downtown, 3 minute walk to hostel...15 minute walk to the Paramount. Many thumbs up!!! Would highly recommend to other AK travelers!

First of three nights was awesome. Really excited for the next couple of nights that we will be here. The rooms are clean and the bunks have privacy curtains so even though you're sharing a room with strangers in most cases, you still maintain some degree of personal space.

You can rent locks for $5 and receive $3 back upon their return. Unlimited towels for $1. Free breakfast in the morning. Clean Community bathrooms and showers as well.

Very friendly staff and they man the front desk all night long. There are lots of tables in the dining area and a 21 plus lounge for drinking or recreational smoking, which is legal in Washington.

I would absolutely stay here again and would totally recommend it to anyone traveling in Seattle. It's literally steps from Pike's Place Market and the waterfront, and only around $30/ night each person.

Room tip: Ask about private rooms if you are a couple that wants to sleep together

A friend of mine recommended this hostel and we went there together. It's the perfect location, directly at Pike Place Market and close to the Waterfront. It was clean and the staff is great, helpful, friendly and the really take care of whoever stays there. Every day they offer activities or free beer or pub crawls, free breakfast every day..... Awesome!!! The vibe is absolutely perfect, people from all over the globe, sitting, talking, eating together.
So, check out this amazing hostel - you won't regret it - promise!!!!

I stayed for 5 nights, and it was great. I have stayed at the GT multiple times, and now it's the only place I'll stay when I visit. The rooms are cozy, it's hard to beat the price, and the customer service is great. I would highly recommend this hostel.
