This is my 1st stop upon touched down in Seattle, stayed for a night in a 6-female dorm.
Location: 1hr light rail ride from the airport & 5 mins walk from westlake station, 2 mins walk to the famous Pike Place market, Starbucks & Hard Rock Cafe is a min across the road. If you love outdoor stuff, Columbia and Mountain Hardwear is about 5 mins walk away, The north face is about 10-15mins walk away.

Safe: Be assured that you get a large locker under your bed (02x 70l backpack worth of space), you can purchased the 'green tortoise' lock for 5usd (you get 3usd refund if you return the lock).

Cleanliness & Service: Friendly staff and was glad to assist you - helping me to search for directions to where I am heading and even printed out for me with details! Clean and comfortable personal space in the room (curtains, 03 charging points, a fan and light for each bed). Toilet is clean and spacious. I got a lower deck and furthest away from the window, so it was pretty quiet and cosy.

Meals: breakfast is provided BUT eggs and pancake is Cook-it-yourself in the kitchen. Free dinner on some nights. Fruit punch and orange juice is available all around the clock in the kitchen. If you want to head out, many food places, Plenty of fresh seafood from the Pike place market (and they ship too, in USA only I think) found only 1 HALAL kebab restaurant (for Muslim friends)

Highlight (for me): I have only a day to spare before heading off to Mt Vernon, so I join Free Seattle Walking tour (that incl, history of Pike place market, the 1st Starbucks cafe after the Original was gone) which is arranged by the hostel.

The Lows: If you are allocated near the windows, expect some night noises (vehicles, people). Some stairs climbing to the reception (no lift).

Overall: I will recommend it to anyone whom don't wish to spend big bucks yet want comfort for accommodation. Single lady travel on own, this is a great deal.

Room Tip: Choose one that is not near the window for more quality sleep.

I stayed here for about a week. I liked free breakfast with egges and pancake. Shower room was clean. Location is great.

I just checked out of the hostel and continuing on my 6 week holiday of North America. This place was my first stop and I hope the rest are like this place.
Very clean, private bathroom, good common room and I got the free dinner while I was there. That is a good way to meet other people and I have made some friends for life.
Staff were great, location good.
The only thing to get aware of is that there are a lot of homeless people in the area. I know that the hostel had no control over this, but just something to be aware of.
I staying in a 4 bed dorm, no issues. Each bed has a fan, light and private curtains.
I've stayed at places are over Australia, the uk and Europe, and this place is up there with one of the best!
Will stay here again if I visit Seattle again.

Room Tip: Pay a little more and get a 4 bed dorm.

Great staff, clean room, excellent location, right across the street from the Hard Rock Cafe' Seattle-a huge plus, lose to the light rail station and bay side market area. I "Met the Producer", staff helped out with points of interest and directions readily, clean room clean bathroom areas

Room Tip: Get there early, REAL early-or better yet, book ahead

This was my first experience at a hostel in the U.S., so I wasn't sure what to expect. All in all, I had a wonderful experience at the hostel. The location is a great spot for those who want to explore the market. Also, with so many people from out of the country, I really got the privilege of meeting people from all over the world! I stayed 2 nights in an 8 person dorm room (you have the choice to stay in a co-ed or non-co-ed). Checking in and out of the hostel was hassel-free, and the people up front were very friendly and accommodating. The room itself was in good condition, the lockers under the beds are generously large (enough to fit 2 pieces of carry-on luggage). Over each curtained bed there is a fan and a reading lamp. The curtain makes it really nice for the other people in the room who don't want a bright light shining in their faces.
One of the big perks of this hostel is the free (albeit, self-cook/serve) breakfast. They provide pancake batter and fresh eggs for you to make yourself a nice meal. All the cookware and utensils are provided for as well. Only gripe would be that some of the restrooms have a residual smell of urine.

The hostel is nice and warm. It's in a perfect location right by the market. The kitchen is great, they serve free food a few days per week and have a great breakfast (eggs, pancakes, bread, fruit). However, here comes the bummer. The staff at the front desk seems a little unknowledgable or just not up for providing service to their guests. The hostel has absolutely NO PARKING and only provides a "fair" deal for $18 parking at a parking lot nearby. When we arrived, they didn't bother telling us exactly what parking lot it was. I got robbed $20 by a hobo or whoever this person was which could have been avoided with a little more extra notice from the front desk. They just seem not too care as much about their guests's issues.. you get a sorry that's all. The staff in the kitchen was awesome, very helpful. You can meet lots of international people and they offer city tours and stuff... So, if they could replace their useless front desk and provide more tips in the beginning, would have been an awesome stay!
Also, a little overpriced for the beds! ($37)

I was a bit dubious at first as I had not been in a hostel for 3 years, however I was very impressed with green tortoise. Excellent and friendly staff who wish to assist, very clean rooms and bathrooms - (no issues with long dark hairs or anything disgusting like that). Big storage lockers under beds, each bed in the dorm rooms has its own light, fan and electrical sockets and curtains can be drawn across the bed for privacy.

The hostel provides nights outs in a pub crawl as well as free breakfast (eggs, bread, pancakes, coffee etc) and free dinner three times a week, this is either pasta or tacos - never tried pasta but tacos were good.

The location is right by pike place market and although there is a lot of homeless about and you will get a bit of harassment but generally they are not rude or aggressive (unlike San Francisco)
