“Industrial area but great value”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 26, 2014

Was uncertain what we'd find but pleasantly surprised. The location is a bit odd but the property is nice. The front desk help - all shifts - were very friendly & helpful. Room was well kept, wifi worked well, plenty of hot water. Soda vending machine only 75 cents. Breakfast was typical free - all carbs but was good. The wooden eating utensils are different and feel odd if you're not used to them. The location allows access of downtown via Michigan/4th St without having to get on the parking lot freeway. The restaurants near-by are a little grungy but we had good meal at Smarty Pants. Overall we'd stay at Georgetown Inn again.

This weekend my husband and I decided to drive down to Seattle for a last minute overnight stay. The Georgetown Inn was rated relatively high given the large number of hotels in Seattle, and the price was decent so we took a chance on it...

It turned out to be a fantastic choice! It is not luxurious, but the hotel and our guest room appeared to be clean and well-cared for, the staff were very friendly, the bed was really confortable, and did I mention that it was clean? They even provided a a make-up removing wipe, and the soaps and toiletries smelled so nice! There is also a continental breakfast available in the morning, and coffe, tea, water available all day! Another bonus was that the Georgetown neighbourhood is a hidden gem and there are some really good restaurants within a 5 minute walk.

Bottom line: I would definitely stay here again as I felt it was good value for my money.

We were greeted by an incredibly friendly receptionist, who provided excellent customer service, including local recommendations to some fantastic eateries! The reception also boasts free piping hot coffee 24/7 - particularly welcome after a long haul flight from the UK! They also offer great breakfasts - a range of cereals, fresh local breads and muffins (sweet and savoury). The staff once again were spot on during breakfast, constantly topping up used items, tidying and being generally helpful. We had a good sized room which, as other reviewers have said, is nothing fancy but does the job well. It did smell a little frowsty like the carpets perhaps needed updating but the bed was comfortable and most of all it was clean. It sits in a pretty good location, just a walk away from the local bus stop or you can use your hire car (if you have one) to get into town. The suburb itself is quirky and 'bohemian' if you fancy staying somewhere local - it appeared to offer a good selection of restaurants and bars.

This appealing, reasonably-priced hotel in the Georgetown area--the oldest settled area of Seattle--is on the fringe of a city with sticker-shock high-priced hotels. Although the city center is twenty minutes by car on major highways, the location trade-off is more than worth it, especially if you're arriving from SeaTac airport, because both airport and hotel are south of Seattle city center. Don't be put off by the rather undistinguished building exterior (in photos). The rooms are comfy and well-kept up, the staff is unfailingly attentive to guests, and the continental breakfast (included) is well-stocked with fresh items; all components of the meal, including the wooden utensils, are “green” and compostable. The hotel is located near several good restaurants in the old neighborhood of Georgetown. Highly recommended!

After reading the reviews here, I booked a room for 2 nights after our cruise to Alaska. It was perfect for us. We walked in and the window was open, letting in the beautiful dry fresh air. We arrived quite early, so could not check in until noon, but that was not a problem. We drove over to a city park and took a nice walk. After we checked in, we walked around the corner to the funky neighborhood of Georgetown and found a place to eat a late Sunday afternoon lunch on an outside patio. We wanted to go to Mt. St. Helens and Mt. Rainier, not downtown Seattle, so it was a great location just off I-5. The room was clean and comfortable. If we had wanted to do any laundry, the machines were free. There is free wi-fi, free local phone and a decent continental breakfast. Nothing is fancy, but all is sufficient and everyone is very friendly. You can't beat the price!

Room Tip: Street is noisy, but closing the windows keeps the sound out.

We needed an affordable place to stay for a week in between moving into our apt in Seattle. Georgetown Inn was perfect! The room was very clean and the bed was super comfortable - slept like a baby every night. Each morning they had great coffee and a very good continental breakfast. During the day/night there were plenty of places to eat delicious meal - lots of options from Italian, Mexican, Japanese, Peruvian and even a heavy metal bar that served amazing vegetarian food. We had a king kitchenette room, so we were also able to cook. This is a great location if you like art, on the weekend they had a cool trailer park flea market and once a month there is an art walk, where you can check out tons of local artist. I am going to recommend this hotel to friends who are visiting and would definitely stay again. Free wifi too!

Very reasonably priced hotel. Awesome location for us close to the airport, sports stadiums, and the I5. Good continental breakfast with awesome coffee! Staff were friendly and helpful. Good restaurants and pubs within a short walk. Hotel is in a noisy location with lots of air traffic noise but not a huge deal. Beds are super comfy! Would stay here again.
