A nice place to stay for a family with easy access to the Space Needle centre and a medium walk to Pike's Place. Worked out well for us as a quick day's rest between cruise ship and airport, close enough to see the sights of the Seattle Centre, waterfront park and Pikes Place shopping/eating. The 3 sisters bakery with homemade coconut almond chocolate bar (like a super mounds/almond joyful experience) at Pikes Place was great after the walk there (about a mile). Lots of room to store suitcases before and after check-in, nicely accommodating. Breakfast area was fine, basic family food, good for the convenience and time saving aspect. Exercise room small and somewhat limited, but we still used it without problems, and broke a sweat on the treadmills. Room was clean and relatively comfy, full size fridge was great, and dishes available as well. We reserved a ride to the airport which came with a hiccup as the first car arrived without the requested 5 seats. Another van showed soon after and got us to the airport in good time. Overall the front desk was helpful, if not concierge quality. One other amenity that would bump up this property a notch would be a pool with jacuzzi, But this was picked due to proximity to other destinations rather than lazing around a small hotel pool ....:-)

Room Tip: I always tend to ask for higher rooms.

Had a great time and Hotel was very accomidating in all aspects. Wife was on business trip and my sons and I were just visiting her for the experience. Bell hop was very accomidating in watching our luggage as we asked for a late checkout. Breakfast was very good and not to noisey. Stayed there 2 nights. Was easy to get in and out.

Room Tip: Any room is a good room and is very quiet even tho the street is right on top of it.

Homewood Suites provides a multi-room suite, with a full kitchenette, near the living room area, and separate bedroom with a bathroom off the hall in between. I loved the fact that housekeeping actually left 4 full sets of towels every day so we had no need to ask for more. Breakfast options were fresh and changed every day of our 6 days in the hotel. Don't expect everything to be ready at 6:00 am when they open. Most items were ready but not the hot egg dish. Coffee, tea, cocoa, and ice water were available throughout the day which was great if we returned mid-afternoon. We didn't try the dinners but the menus (posted in the suites by the month) looked varied and complete. I agree with another reviewer that the in-room AC was a bit loud; we tended to turn it off overnight. Since Seattle tends to be relatively cool, it was not an issue with the room temperature to do this. The walk to the Space Needle/Seattle Center area is brief. It's close to 2 miles to Pike Place; we walked to that area and the main shopping district many times, working up an appetite for coffee and a snack while getting some exercise. I would definitely use this as a home base for a future trip.

Stayed here labor day weekend in the executive suite with two adults and two teenage boys. The lobby looked very nice, and the room was also nice. The hotel convenience store could be better organized (ice cream bars were thrown in a heap in the freezer and other than ice cream there were maybe 3 chicken pot pies so it was not well-stocked). The night auditor who checked us in was disheveled - hair a mess, shirt untucked, etc. Looked like we woke her up from a nap on the couch. Breakfast was promptly ended at 10am, even on a holiday weekend, so we missed it, and staff reminded us that they kept it open an hour past when they would normally close. Linens provided for the sofa bed were dirty and torn. best feature of the hotel is its location and facility but with a little higher level of service, the hotel has potential.

We chose this hotel because our business required us to be in this part of town and we wanted the kitchen facilities. In one sense it was all right, but for a hotel brand that considers itself business friendly this was misleading. I would say it is large noisy family friendly. The hotel was fine in many ways, but with some serious problems. The breakfast room is usually overwhelmed with people and finding a place to sit can be a real problem. Food items can be replaced slowly, or not at all. But the worst matter was housekeeping; our room was often not cleaned (even when we specifically requested that it be done), or, if cleaned, we were always lacking something. No towels one day, no soap another, etc. I think the staff did the best it could but was also overwhelmed by the large number of people. It certainly didn't make our work go easier.

The Homewood Suites is close to the southwest corner of the Seattle Center. It's about a 20 minute walk to McCaw Hall, less than 15 minutes to the Space Needle, and less than 10 minutes to Olympic Sculpture Park. I stayed there because of its proximity to McCaw Hall, but the hotel seems to be a popular spot for families embarking on one of the many cruises that leave from Piers 90 and 91.

Each room is a suite consisting of a bedroom, living room, kitchen area, and bathroom. I found the decor to be rather dark due to the color choices, lack of windows in the living room, and inadequate lighting in the living room. After 12 nights here (two 6-night stays within a 15 day period), I was ready to go home. But for a few nights, and especially for families with 3 or more people to a suite, Homewood Suites is a good choice. For extended stays, it just doesn't have the homey feeling implied by its name.

The kitchen appliances and bathroom fixtures are what you would expect in this category of hotel—certainly not luxury but functional. The dishwasher and refrigerator are some of the noisiest available; if you wash dishes I suggest you turn on the dishwasher when you are about to leave the room for the day.

The bed is quite comfortable. Even though the bedroom is on the street, the double-paned windows block the noise. The in-room HVAC unit is, however, quite noisy. Those sensitive to noise while sleeping might find it better to turn off the unit at night.

Breakfast is served every day until 9 (during the week) or 10 (during the weekend). The staff does an amazing job keeping the food refreshed despite the crowds. On some days, it is difficult to find a place to sit, but the throughput is such that I never had to wait more than a minute to find a seat.

Homewood suites also serves a light dinner four nights during the week, but in the four times (over the past 8 years ) that I've stayed here, I never made it back to the hotel during the dinner hours. The menus do look interesting.

The two elevators that transport the guests are also used by the housekeeping and maintenance staff; there is not a service elevator. During breakfast time, guests compete for the elevator with the housekeeping staff and their large carts. Waits can be long. I recommend taking the stairs.

Rooms located at the ends of the hall are not only near the stairs, but I found them to be quieter. Rooms near the storage room used by the housekeeping tend to be noisy, as the staff congregate and talk loudly, often for long periods of time. In addition, the walkie-talkies they use are set at a rather loud volume.
