I just came back from a 4 day conference at the Hyatt at Olive 8. The location was fantastic for getting around the downtown area and close to the monorail. The room was top notch, but what I'd like to point out is that this was the terrific alignment for all planets - location, service and conference. The meeting facilities were especially fantastic - good large meeting rooms and quality, convenient break out rooms. All equipment worked!! The lunches and treats were also extremely good.

Room Tip: The upgraded floor and corner view still wasn't too great. Skip.

This is my second stay at the Hyatt at Olive 8. I had stayed here a year or two ago. Great rooms, great room service, great location (minutes to public transport and shopping). The place to stay if you want to be green!

Fabulous restaurant and bar, for any meal, drink need, any time of day/night!
Wonderful location for shopping retail shops, or heading to the market at Pike Place!
Was a bit disappointed in the air conditioning system, but hey, it's Seattle, not TEXAS!!
Loved the "green" platform the hotel is designed around!

this is located almost adjacent to the Grand Hyatt but offers a good lower cost alternative. Some say location is a bit far from the wharf area but only a 15 minute walk through the shopping area. Short walk from the metro to the airport. The room was fine with a good selection of bathroom ammentities. Breakfast was incuded in the room and a nice a la carte selection though no good if you are in a rush. Usual complaint though. Why can country town best westerns and Holiday Inn Express offer free wi fi but not inner city hotels. Answer Greed

My husband and I live in Seattle but decided to do a little getaway downtown for fun. This place was awesome! The food is incredible (I have been for their happy hour many times and just love it) and the service is excellent (both in the hotel and th restaurant). They have a salt water pool and a great hot tub. In the women's locker rooms at the pool have everything a woman could need, such as razors, tampons, hair ties, etc, and it's all there for free. You can order food and drinks to be delivered poolside, which is a lot of fun.

We purchased the romance package and it was great.... Free valet parking, champagne and chocolate covered strawberries, breakfast, and a bubble bath. A little more expensive but worth it.

I absolutely recommend this place if you are looking for a cool, urban getaway. Plus the place is the epitome of Seattle, as it is a "green" hotel and enviro-friendly.

Stayed here for our anniversary trip in Seattle. The hotel was modern, clean, and hospitable. Close to all attractions downtown.

We had a couple of problems when we arrived. The management crew took care of them and the rest of the stay was excellent. Modern room with everything you need, except a refridgerator. They did say they will loan you one if you want it. We ended up eating out and got ice at the ice machine for cold drinks. They will deliver ice to your room. Be prepared to pay for valet parking at $41 for 24 hrs. which happens to be average for the area. The fitness room was large, well equiped and clean. Close to shopping, all kinds of restaurants, buses, light rail, monorail. We walked most places. It was sad to see so many panhandlers. A few played music, but we even had teenagers say to us, " hey,man give us your money" as they hung around on the sidewalk. Most people were very nice and wanted to chat.
