“Pike's Market history and food--it can't get much better than this!”
Reviewed September 12, 2011

Kristen, our tour guide, made the 2 hour tour entertaining and fast paced. There wasn't a minute when you weren't moving, listening to her stories of the Public Market or eating! Seattle Bites provides you with a listening device that allows you to be up to 50 feet away from the tour guide and still hear the comments. The food stops were varied and equally good, from the incredible clam chowder, to the Reuben sandwich and crepes, each bite was unique to the Market. This was our second tour through Seattle Bites and it was as much fun as the first! The food stops were enough different that it felt like a different but familiar tour. If you love food, and a some Seattle history--this is a must see stop for your trip to Seattle!

“Would Highly Recommend!”
Reviewed September 11, 2011

I attended the Seattle Bites Food Tour recently. Kristen, our entertaining guide was welcoming, knowledgeable, fun & ensured that every member of the group left having eaten substantial amounts of food over the 3 hrs tour. I would highly recommend this tour for anyone coming to Seattle. Thankyou Kristen!

“GREAT Experience”
Reviewed September 10, 2011

Our guide Kristin was very enthusiastic and informative. We went to Pike Place Market last year on our own and it was simply overwhelming. We only walked the main hall and had no idea that the market was so large.

The history of the market was very interesting and there was SO much food - all of it delicious. We were surprised at the large portions at each of the restaurants - we went to a Mariner's game that night and were too full to eat anything at the game! I am quite pregnant and handled the walking on the tour without any issues - there are plenty of spots where we stop and sit. Kristin also avoided steps so that we could easily push our daughter in her stroller.

The headphones are so convenient and comfortable - we could easily hear her as we walked through the busy market.

When I asked Kristin about pumpkin cookies from a particular bakery that a friend had raved over, she knew exactly what I was talking about - and gave everyone on our tour a "Bonus Bite" - she bought several cookies (they are huge) and shared them among us.

You get discounts at most of the merchants you visit - and as the day was warm we picked up some excellent mango lemonades at the Indian food booth and some bottles of water at the chowder place (we just told them we were with the tour and got the discount).

It was a wonderful tour and totally worth the price of admission. The next time we are in Seattle, we know where to go in the market!
