Thank you for making us your first choice when visiting Seattle! We'll see you again soon.
I stayed here since conference rate at the Renaissance was sold out. HH member, chose Hm Stes over Hilton DT even though that was closer to conf. because of good reviews. Glad I did. Appreciated the extra space of a suite and the brisk 15-20 min walk to conference was good exercise. Breakfast, evening reception, and service - excellent. I prefer Hmwd Stes to the Doubletree Arctic where we stayed last time in Seattle (family trip). Convenient to downtwon and Capitol Hill area. Requested the "quiet" side after reading reviews and had no street noise issues. Would stay again.
Thanks for trusting the folks on Trip Advisor to steer you to our hotel. We are happy we lived up to expectations. We certainly welcome you back the next time your travel brings you our way.
Nice hotel in downtown Seattle. This hotel is within walking distance of many restaurants and coffee shops and a short drive to attractions such as the art museum and the Pike Place market. My room was small (don't take a room ending in -04 they are the smallest) but really perfect for just 1 traveller. I think the other rooms were larger. The bed was very comfortable and bathroom small but updated with granite countertops.
The best part was that they offered a free "heavy snack" in the early evening, including beer or wine, so I didn't even have to go out for dinner if I didn't want to.
That plus a hot breakafst in the AM at no charge was certainly a bonus.
There was a small sundry shop for snacks in the lobby if you wanted something extra.
Beware the parking fee however. It is valet only at $32 a pop.
I received a call just after check in to see if I needed anything which was appreciated.
Thanks so much for commenting on our hotel and amenities. We are happy to hear that our evening dinner, convenient location and well-appointed rooms were things that you liked about our hotel. We hope you visit us again next time you are in town.
Nice hotel in a great location. Well, kept, courteous staff. Only complaint is the elevator key card locks installed while I was there and the desk's inability to release it for a guest. I'm a former resident of the neighborhood & generally stay here when I visit. Great promixty to both downtown and Capitol Hill.
We appreciate the nice comments about the hotel and location, especially coming from a former Capital Hill resident.
The key-access to the elevators have been completely installed; sorry that we inconvenienced you during your stay as a result of the installation.
We hope to see you the next time you are back in Seattle.
I was in the hotel for four nights and the room (suite)was excelent, very big. Separate room for the bedroom, nice kitchen. I definitely would stay here again.
Thank you for your kind words. We hope to see you again soon.
First of all this hotel in my opinion is very overpriced. I couldn't believe that others in our group who stayed at the W, actually paid only $10.00 more than we did. It was freezing in my room and because the hotels infracture is so antiquated, maintenance has to physically come into your room to switch the heat on if the guest before you was there during warmer weather. The hotel it's self looks pretty new, but according to maintenance, it's just "a pretty mask over an old and wrinkled face." And then the alarm clocks. I was there during the time change to daylight savings time and wanted to set both the time and alarm on the alram clock before heading. Well I couldn't do that because maintenance has to come up and do that too. I've never had an alarm clock where I wasn't able to change the time or ever had heating/cooling that required a strange man at10:30 PM while in my pajamas to come fix it. And don't even ask me how long it took for him to get to me. He left at 11:00 PM so I had to trust my wake up call which I surprisingly didn't get either. To top it all off, the Front Desk manager Dawnita, didn't even seem to care about my concerns and wasn't the least bid interested in her dissatisfied guest that beat me to the puch. I believe the solution to us both was, "I know it's frustrating but it's just one of those things that is what it is." WOW!!
P.S.- Also I can't remember the last time I've been at a Hilton property that didn't offer on-demand movies and television. Even Motel 6 has this amenity.
I am very sorry that you left with a poor impression of our hotel in general. It sounds like you had a bad experience all the way around. We do want to hear when we fail our guests and I would like an opportunity to speak with you if possible.
We are upgrading our heating and cooling system currently and anticipate having this issue resolved in the next few months.
I am sorry that you had this experience and would like an opportunity to fix this if I am able.
