“Perfect spot in Seattle”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 26, 2011

We arrived at the hotel around noon after a long day of flying. To our great surprize our room was ready for us. We washed up and then walked to Pike's Market. When we arrived back the hotel to our pleasure dinner was served (including wine and beer) AS PART OF OUR STAY. The food was fresh, delicious and presented quite nicely. We found a table by the window so we could watch the goings on as we ate. Breakfast was equally good and they had a great choice every day. We were able to either walk or take a bus everywhere. Every one at the hotel was helpful, friendly and welcoming.

Very comfortable suite, convenient to everything

Needed a large cab to rail station - 4 people and baggage. Charge was $55. Rip off!! Got 2 taxis at a cost of $8.25 per taxi.

polaWilliams_Oregon,

Thanks for providing us this feedback. We try our best to provide dependable taxi service and use only the most reputable companies but we sometimes find a driver or two that do not perform to the standards that we hold. For that reason, we do have an agreement with a local town car service and the feedback that our guests have given us regarding this service has been great. If you visit us again, please ask for the town car service we work with. I hope this helps and I hope you visit us on your next trip to Seattle.

Warm regards,

Scott

My sister and I spent four nights at the Homewood Suites and enjoyed the experience. Although pricey, the inclusion of breakfast and dinner (during the week) somewhat offset the cost. The location was good - everything was within walking distance. Rooms were well appointed and clean; we requested a courtyard room after reading the reviews on Trip Advisor so things were pretty quiet. Employees were friendly and courteous and the bed was excellent. Only thing missing was a shower cap - the shower nozzles are very high so it's hard to use without getting your hair wet.

The lobby and rooms are very nice. The location is outstanding being right on Pike St in downtown Seattle. The rooms may have noise from the Interstate, but they have ear plugs in the room if you are a light sleeper.

JM_2793,

We appreciate your feedback. Thank you for pointing out that we do have ear plugs for our light sleepers. As many others have mentioned, we try to accommodate requests for courtyard-side rooms when they are requested. Thanks for staying with us!

We very much enjoyed our two night stay at the Homewood Suites. We had a suite on the top floor which was so much larger than we expected. It was like an apartment with full kitchen , living room and large bedroom. The decor was very pretty and modern, two large flat screen TVs, very comfy beds with lots of pillows, hardwood floors and a large bathroom. It was too bad we could not stay in the room more it was so comfortable but we were off sightseeing and found the hotel to be conveniently located to the downtown area. I think they used to have a free shuttle but it was discontinued. The hotel serves a free breakfast daily and also a light dinner with wine and beer from 5:00 to 7:00 on weekdays which was really nice .The room was pricey at $239 but we were able to use the Seattle Tour Saver coupon for a free night which made it a good value for us. The staff is very friendly and eager to help you in any way they can.l We were disappointed we were not able to get reservations for "Sky City" at the Space Needle but when we mentioned at the front desk it was done along with a special dessert sent to our table making the evening perfect.
I would definitely stay here again and recommend it others!

My wife and I stayed here three nights so that we could explore Seattle before boarding our cruise to Alaska. Having never been to Seattle I was concerned about finding the right hotel. Sometimes staying staying in a downtown area can be hit or miss. We booked this hotel based on the good reviews at Tripadvisor and the lower price compared to other hotels in the area. I gotta tell ya, folks, Homewood Suites exceeded our expectations! Great location, groovy room, low price, helpful staff, yummy breakfast...dude, just book this thing already! You can walk to just about everything from here: Pike Place Market; the monorail to the Space Needle; nice stores (and Ross!); cool restaurants; the waterfront; and the art museum without having to walk through any janky neighborhoods. (safety is always a consideration to me) And hey, don't listen to these wussies who cry about it being too far or uphill walking back to the hotel. My wife and I are in our fifties and, after a full day of walking around town, we freakin leapt like gazelles back up to the hotel. It's uphill but not a big deal at all, certainly not worth mentioning unless someone is terribly out of shape (might be time to get a Rascal). The rooms are BIG and full of great stuff! (get it? "Big" is in caps to emphasize the big-ness) By great stuff , I mean free wi-fi, big flat screen, and a kitchenette that has everything but the....wait a minute...INCLUDING the kitchen sink! Okay, one reviewer complained that there was no conventional oven. Whaddaya gonna do? Cook a turkey in your hotel room? Sheeesh! The bed!!! Oh my, the bed was so comfortable I was down and out quicker than Old Yeller. I can't really comment on the noise factor as we actually enjoyed throwing open the windows and letting that cool Seattle air and the hum of the city lull us to sleep. That's how we roll. A free breakfast buffet,(delicious and nutritious) and a free dinner Monday through Thursday, including (you're gonna love this) free beer and wine. Ahhhhhh. Check this out. On the day we left to board our cruise, we didn't realize all the cabs in the city were booked, as several ships board and depart on the same day. The guy at the front desk says, "let me see what I can do." He makes some phone calls and gets us a stretch limo for the price of a cab! Five minutes later, it arrives and we're on our way. That was the cherry on top of a perfect stay at Homewood Suites. Now, get outa here and book that room!

Room Tip: If you stay on the ninth floor, you have to get off at the 8th and take a separate elevator to the n...

Every year for a certain convention, my friends and I book several rooms at this particular Homewood Suites because we've been so satisfied with it, year after year. If you intend to stay near the Convention Center, this is an ideal location. It's about a 10-15 minute walk to the heart of Capitol Hill and to Pike Place and surrounding, so if you don't mind a little bit of a stroll, Homewood Suites is ideal.

We've stayed at this hotel for 3 years in a row, and it has never disappointed. We've always managed to fit 5 people very comfortably in a room. The sofas all come with a pull-out full-sized bed, and there is always a separate room with a Queen or King-sized bed. If the sofa cushions aren't enough to accommodate a 5th guest, a rollaway bed most certainly will.

The kitchens come equipped with electric stovetops, a sink, dishwasher, and a full-size refrigerator. There are also cutlery, tupperware, dishes/bowls, and basic cooking utensils. As an added bonus, there is free wifi and complimentary breakfast all week, and complimentary dinners Monday-Thursday until 8pm (or is it 7? It could very well be 7pm). For rooms that face Pike, they will give you a pair of earplugs. And more often than not, they will be able to accommodate your wishes, and will do so quickly.

Overall, this hotel is perfect for a group. It might be a bit pricey if you're going solo or as a couple, but the rooms are always clean and well-lit. Some rooms even have a balcony, so if you're a smoker, you don't have to go all the way downstairs to smoke.
