This was our first stay at Deca, I was pleasantly surprised !! I must say that it was one of the quietest rooms that I have had in a hotel for a long time. The beds were comfortable, the room was very pleasantly furnished, and extremely clean. The staff was absolutely wonderful from the time we checked in, until we checked out, greeting us with warm smiles each & every time we came & went. The location was very convenient, as was the shuttle service, which we utilized to and from the UW Medical Center. We received excellant customer service at a very trying time for our family. Thank you and we will stay again!!!

We have stayed at the Deca for several years over the Christmas holidays as it is near our family. We appreciate the convenience to freeways, the friendly service and the pleasant rooms. Yes, the hotel is old but it has been updated and for the price we think it is great.

Room Tip: We prefer the rooms on the Southeast corner as the view toward Lake Washington and the Cascade Range...

The web site showed a hip renovated hotel, instead it was a tired hotel whose beauty was only skin deep. Everything seemed shabby and cheap. Maybe it's cool for the UW crowd with its convenient location but I will not be staying there again. The Watertown Hotel down the street is much nicer.

We stayed here for one night and will definitely be back when we are in Seattle, great location .

Everything about this hotel is great, comfortable beds, nice rooms, quiet , doesn't get much better then that. Lots of restaurants close by and the neighbourhood is great.

Excellent customer service.

Room Tip: I don't think there is a bad room, as the rooms were really quiet.

We come to Seattle every year for a Spring Break tradition. We have stayed near the market at the pricier hotels, however were pleasantly surprised when we tried Hotel Deca to save a little $. The beds are extremely comfortable, the staff is very friendly and it is conveniently located. There is a Safeway just down the street to bring back treats for our kids and the restaurant downstairs had wonderful breakfast for our family. Hotel is very attentive to noise issues. We will return here for all of our future stays.

Affordable price. Worth every cent. Gorgeous room & view. Excellent customer service and assistance. Reasonable on-site parking price. Room service was quick & worth the price.

In comparison to this stay, I definitely plan on staying here again when in Seattle.

If you don't want to be in downtown Seattle, this is a great location for a hotel. I chose it because it was close to where my mother lives. It's close to every vital part of the city. The hotel itself is old and beautiful. There is a Tully's coffee shop off the lobby which was nice to have and they open early. As for our room here are the pluses: nice size room, comfortable bed, very clean. The negatives: No DRESSER! We couldn't unpack our suitcases! No fridge or microwave. The bathroom is very small but they do the best they can with what they have. Walls are very thin and we heard a lot of parties going on but it was before 8pm. The hotel has a "quiet policy" from 10pm to 8am and we did not hear any noise over night so I guess people respect this policy. The room had a big bay window but we couldn't really appreciate it. There was a giant glass desk in front of the window and I could barely open and close the curtains. The hotel should get rid of the desk and put a chair and a dresser in front of the window. Over all a nice stay, the hotel has some good and bad qualities but if you can get a good price and you want to be in the U-district, it's a good choice.
