We spent two delightful nights at the Gaslight Inn in a lovely upstairs room on the rear of the building overlooking the swimming pool and the Space Needle (room 105). The inn is decorated stunningly with Mission furniture on the ground floor and tasteful art & curiosities throughout. It is lovingly managed by Mary and Bennet who are both charming and welcoming with lots of advice as to where to dine/explore in the lively Capitol Hill neighbourhood and environs. Parking is not a problem as guest parking passes were readily provided. The morning continental breakfast was pleasant with homemade breads and a good cup of coffee. The inn is a great value in a very central area of greater Seattle. You will not be disappointed by the charm and comfort of this lovely property.

A beautiful house in a great neighborhood with comfortable rooms and excellent service--what more do you want? We stayed in room 104 at the front of the house, a large comfy suite with private bath. At night it's perfectly quiet, but the traffic does get busy around 7:30 am, and the room faces east so if you like to sleep late you might prefer a different room. Breakfast is simple but good and healthful, served communally, although you can eat outside if you're not feeling sociable.

Ideal for an "en amoureux" getaway with its charming period rooms, fire place and cosy sitting room. Ask for a room with view on the Seattle skyline and garden. It is very confortable and clean and quiet. There is also a nice garden with palm trees and a heated swimming pool which are great after a day of visiting in Seattle. The neighborhood has lots of good restaurants, you only need to ask the host for recommendation. What's more it is close to downtown which can be easily reached with public transportation or by foot. We really enjoyed the place and recommend it warmly.

Room Tip: Ask for the rooms with a view on the Seattle skyline

Great location, beautiful space, friendly and gracious hosts...and a heated pool on lovely grounds. If you want to experience the neighborhood personality of Seattle instead of typical downtown, Gaslight is your place.

I was looking for a place to stay other then in the Downtown area and found the Gaslight Inn to be one of the few good accommodations located on the trendy Cap Hill area, just a 15-20 minute walk from downtown. Based on the reviews on Tripadvisor I decided to book four nights here. I have not regretted any minute of my stay. This place is truly amazing! Beautiful rooms filled with art, well kept and very clean, almost like a boutique hotel (I stayed in room 103). A comfortable swimming pool in the back to relax and a very nice view over downtown on the balcony on the second floor. But most importantly, the owner, Bennett, is a wonderful host! He gives you a very welcome feeling, makes an awesome breakfast and is always eager to give you suggestions on what to visit during your stay. I would definitely stay here again!

I spent three nights at the Gaslight while on a work trip. It is a truly charming oasis in the city with excellent, thoughtful service. The house and decor are attractive and comfortable. I slept very well all three nights and loved coming 'home' to the Gaslight each evening. I also loved the private balcony of room 105 with its view of downtown.

We were first time guests at the Gaslight Inn but found that most of the other guests were repeat customers! That says a lot about the quality of the Inn and the Bennett's mastery of hospitality. Our room (the Master bedroom suite) was beautiful. There is a bit of street noise, but the other rooms are sheltered by a a beautiful backyard garden. Bennett was very helpful at recommending some wonderful restaurants within short walking distance. The Tin Table was really good! We walked downtown and liked the exercise (it's a hike back up the hill), but public transport is easy. Breakfast is continental with fresh fruit, cheese and bread. We had a wonderful time during our 4 night stay!
