First, Bennett the innkeeper, is an outstanding ambassador for Seattle and the Pacific NW. The Inn has fabulous turn-of the 20th century oak woodwork that is stunning. There are numerous antiques and very nice original pieces of stained glass. We stayed 3 days/2 nights in room #104, the original master bedroom and we found the accommodations excellent. The location is walk-able to Pike Place Market, it’s a good 20 minute walk, we were happy to burn some calories, but the #10 bus is not a minute walk to catch. Being in the Capitol Hill District there are plenty of good restaurants very near by that will definitely satisfy, I’ll strongly recommend Jamjuree if you like Thai. Also a 5 minute walk is a nice Safeway grocery store if you want wine, snacks or anything else. The Room was large and clean, the bed comfortable. There is a nice 2nd floor patio to have a glass of wine and take in the city skyline. The Inn provides a parking pass and we had no problem finding close by on street parking, that was one of my worries with Seattle. Lots of fresh fruit at breakfast long with good coffee, yogurt, croissant, sweet bread and cheeses. I would have better liked a grain roll but the fruits were fresh and plentiful. Bennett is a wealth of knowledge and very helpful with directions and suggestions on Seattle or day trips and beyond. The WiFi worked just fine and not much to complain about. There is AC in the Bathroom and it will cool off the whole suite. There is even a nice side street where you have an excellent view of the Space Needle. They have a pool at the Inn but we were too busy to enjoy it, it looked inviting and tropical. We would love to stay again, the location is perfect for our needs, really close to everything and there is plenty to do near by if you wish. Highly recommend the Gaslight Inn.

Room Tip: I expect all rooms are nice, we liked the extra space after several days of travel, and I always prefer at least a second floor room.

We stayed at the Gaslight after discovering it online - the way we booked all our hotels for this trip. Bennett couldn't have been more helpful - a parking space when we arrived late, recommendations for a local microbrewery and Volunteer Park for a walk before breakfast when we were up at the crack of dawn. We only stayed a couple of nights before setting off to start our road trip down the coast to Big Sur, but it was a great start and the weather was so good we managed a laze by the pool too. Thank you for a great stay.

Room Tip: We stayed in 104 - en suite with lots of space for those living out of a suitcase!

Never seen this before in my life. The owner basically kicked us out the second we had to check out, not accomodating at all. We were told we could hang out at the pool for no more than an hour and would not have use of a bathroom while we waited for our flight. When he noticed our discontent, he rudely pointed out that he "allowed" us to check in an hour early, recommended places to go, and served breakfast for us as if he wanted a medal for mediocrity. I wouldnt give this guy another cent.

The Gaslight Inn was the perfect spot for our recent stay in Seattle. We walk a lot and traveled all over the city. The Gaslight Inn gives you a sense of "local life" and is accessible to excellent coffee, ice cream, baked goods and restaurants. A real value and our host, Bennett was superb. He gave us a quick orientation to the area and away we went...he also pointed us in the direction of the best espresso/coffee my husband has ever had. If you want a more private, charming setting and to feel like you're at home, this is the place. The arts and crafts decor and a balcony off of our room, overlooking the pool, were added treats!

Room Tip: We highly recommend room 105 - has a semi-private balcony overlooking the pool.

The Grande Dame of Seattle B&B scene. Bennett, the innkeeper, was attentive to our needs in spite of our 8:30 p.m. arrival and helped us sort out our parking conundrum in no time. Try to spend at least two nights at Gaslight to enjoy all of its amenities, such as the heated outdoor pool, which is open between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. during the warm months. Our room was spacious and fresh. We enjoyed meeting and chatting with the guests over the simple continental breakfast.
